My coworkers and I came here for lunch during restaurant week on a weekday, and overall, it was a great experience. Since it wasn’t busy, we were seated right away. A few of my coworkers had never tried hotpot before, and our server took the time to explain how everything worked. He was incredibly helpful and patient, which we really appreciated.

We all chose the $30 restaurant week lunch, which included a choice of broth, meat, and side dishes. We ordered the spicy broth, golden chicken soup, and mushroom broth. The golden chicken soup had the best flavor by far. Unfortunately, the spicy broth was inedible because it was extremely spicy, even though we ordered level 1, which was surprising.

The portions for the meat and side dishes were very generous. I ordered the short rib wagyu, and it came with plenty of vegetables and other sides. Everything was delicious and very filling. The restaurant was also beautifully decorated and had a cozy atmosphere, which made it perfect for enjoying hotpot on a cold winter day.

Overall, we had a wonderful lunch, and my coworkers and I will definitely be coming back!

Best hot pot I’ve had in Chicago. Absolutely delicious broth assortments with fresh program, veggie, and carb options. The sauce bar has a absolutely everything you need as well. Very clean restaurant! Highly recommend and I will be back.

Reservation highly encouraged. Yummy soup base and good selection of meats. The drink menu is good as well. Standard hotpot place otherwise and the seats are too far from the table

I went for my birthday dinner and received a birthday surprise from the staff! Greatly appreciated that. I plan on returning and trying more of the amazing food and wide menu selection. Thank you for a welcoming atmosphere and fun experience to share with others!

It was my first time in this market and I’m glad I visited this restaurant! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was extraordinarily friendly and efficient. We got three different broth flavors (mushroom, chicken, spicy) the mushroom was very tasty.
In addition, we ordered various shaved meats, meatballs, veggies, and enough noodles to feed a family of 6 although it was just the two of us.
10/10

Qiao Lin Hotpot is my go to places in the Midwest for a true authentic Chongqing hotpot experience. Food quality is the same, if not better, as you would expect for hotpot in Chongqing. Service is also top notch.

Such an enjoyable evening! We visited after a long day of exploring and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As we had not tried hot pot dining before, our server Chris guided us through each step. His personality and input definitely added to the quality of our experience. Great, fun, and entertaining night out.

Wow — my favorite hotpot spot in Chicago now offers half-portion dishes! Such a smart move. Now I can try more variety without spending extra, which is perfect for small group hangouts too. Everyone gets to enjoy more of their favorites at the same price — love it!

This was a great place to try if you have the money to do spend. It is well worth it. Food is fresh and staff will explain to you how things work. It was confusing to us by ut being our first time so I know the next time will be even better.

Wanted to get some authentic hot pot in Chinatown, had to wait about an hour to get a table for 2, a bit on the expensive side but the quality is pretty good. Make your own paste. May need some prior knowledge of what to order (hot pot type, meat, vegetables) or bring someone who does for a more pleasant experience
