We had a lovely weekend lunch here. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. The menu is a little confusing with their lunch specials. The ones listed are for weekdays only. So you do pay more when dining in over the weekend. But overall, it was a great experience!

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Dos Rios Mexican Bar & Grill in New Braunfels! The food was full of flavor and the portions were plentiful. Our waitress was attentive and even customized one of our dishes for us. The manager J.P. personally came by to greet us and made sure we were enjoying our visit. His sunny personality lit up the room! Great food and amazing service… thank you J.P!

Dos Rios is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The first dish I ever had was their Tortilla Soup! The fresh homemade food and ingredients is appreciated every bite! My family also loves going on Wed! When they have 1/2 chicken fajitas! Loved it! The chicken is juicy! Full of flavor and their butter sauce just tops it off! They have the PERFECT tortillas! I could by a dozen and eat that alone and would be content!!! Definitely give them a try! There is nothing on the menu you won’t love! After you can take a small stroll into Town Creek. Shop at Frog Hollar, Two Rivers, there are hair and message businesses, Rosie Lynn’s Ice Cream. Across the way are the cutest boutique for kids and women clothing! It’s a vibe! And a feat day or night out!

We had lunch there on 28Dec2025 and the customer service was outstanding. The manager greeted us with a warm smile then took us to our booth.
Bella, our server and also the bartender (drinks were top notch) made our day. She was so sweet, professional and kind. She made excellent food suggestions and checked on us constantly. The food was fresh, hot and delicious…kudos to the chefs.

I have never been to this restaurant and I’ve lived here most of my life. We went as a family last weekend, and it was a one-time thing for me. I won’t be back. Service was slow and subpar. Didn’t care for the patio where we were eating… we had just wanted to be outside because it was a nice night and the music was WAY too loud inside. The food: no. I ordered a salmon plate, which was overcooked, the cilantro lime rice was crunchy and bland. I asked for refried beans instead of black, and never got them. Didn’t touch the black beans. None of our plates were particularly good. It just wasn’t a great experience.

The food overall was excellent, with the shrimp being a standout favorite. However, the dessert was a bit disappointing ..it had too much cinnamon and was difficult to enjoy. Despite that, the overall experience was very good.

Waiter was excellent ! Nice roomy restaurant with tables and booths. Food was plentiful and happy hour cocktails drinks were great. Plenty of chips and salsa. I had shrimp taco and was good but a little too salty for me. Restaurant was noisy and had to lean over in booth to hear . It was enjoyable though and service was great. Had outdoor and indoor seating. Got there a little after 5 on Friday and no wait, was seated immediately. Fun place to eat!
