An absolute gem in New Jersey! This restaurant brings authentic Peruvian flavors to life with beautifully prepared dishes and incredible attention to detail. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The service was just as impressive, friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. A special thank you to our server, Eyleen, who took great care of us and made the experience even better. You can really feel the passion and care that goes into both the food and the overall experience, which is a true reflection of the excellent management by Luis. Whether you’re new to Peruvian cuisine or already a fan, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We celebrated our anniversary at Jarana in New Jersey, and it was such an amazing experience. From the moment we sat down, everything felt special. Our server was incredible and even surprised us with champagne on the house, which was such a sweet touch.
We did the 5-course meal, and every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. My absolute favorite was the ceviche—so fresh and perfectly balanced.
The whole night just felt elevated and memorable. Amazing food, thoughtful service, and the perfect place for a special occasion. Definitely 5 stars!

Had a great experience at Jarana at the American Dream Mall. The food was excellent—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Pulpo al Olivo was incredibly tender with a rich olive sauce, the Tuna Wantacos were crispy and packed with flavor, and the Cebiche Limeño was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced.

Our server Juan made the experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, and provided great service throughout the meal.

Highly recommend Jarana if you’re at American Dream.

Was a little disappointed over all since Gaston is known for his amazing restaurants, but still delicious and would come back to try other items.
Had the aji de gallina croquettes and chicken skewers as appetizers. Both fantastic especially the skewers, which reminded me of the best Puerto Rican pinchos de pollo. For entrees we had the signature roast chicken, Milanese chicken with corn and cheese sauce and the chaufa with fried chicken. The fried rice (chaufa) was excellent. The roast chicken does not compare to other pollo ala brasas in the area and was dry, and the other 2 dishes were above average. Had the chicha and maracuya sours for drinks. Both decent. Service was not great and inattentive, needing to ask for drinks multiple times and the entrees not coming out together. Despite all this it looked like an exciting menu with interesting takes on Peruvian classics. Would come again.

My first time here at this Restaurant, in fact first time at the American dream mall.
My wife and I wanted to try something different so we decided to have Peruvian food.
I have been to Peru several times so I kind of know the Menu.
The food was good but very small portions for the rather high prices. But I guess the rent in that mall must be$$$$$.
Service was terrible.
The waiter never checks back on the table between coarse.
We waited over 20 minutes to recieve are check.
Let’s just say they were not customer focused.
We spent $258.00 with tip .
Only 2 glasses of wine.
My shrimp dinner alone was $55.00 for 8 shrimp.
Was Peruvian ,yea.
But not like Peru.

Great vibe! I ordered the tuna wonton tacos (incredible) and the Causa Casera. Both were presented beautifully and the flavor matched the presentation. Super unique spot I would highly recommend checking out if you’re in the area.

The waiters truly elevate the experience. They are attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu, always happy to make recommendations and ensure everything is perfect. Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome.

If you’re looking for amazing Peruvian food paired with warm, professional service, Jarana is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Choosing the right Peruvian restaurant for a family celebration is not always easy, especially for something as meaningful as a parents’ anniversary. This restaurant has become a tradition for us, a place we return to for special moments like anniversaries and career milestones. It consistently delivers a warm, welcoming experience that makes every visit feel special.

Hector, our waiter, was outstanding. He was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations that we genuinely enjoyed. His service elevated the entire evening. Overall, this is a restaurant we confidently recommend for memorable celebrations and quality Peruvian cuisine.

This place is amazing, amazing! The food is so good — you definitely have to try the Churrasco Chaufa when you go. The sangria was really good too, and the glass is huge! The Dulce de Leche Mil Hojas with strawberries was 100 out of 20 — seriously delicious and a must-try dessert! ✨

I’ve been there several times, and while I still love it, I’ve noticed the portions have gotten smaller lately.
They used to include sweet plantains with the dish, but not anymore. Still, I totally recommend it!

It was truly an extraordinary experience that I have had in quite some time. Upon entering the mall, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Jarana. The ambiance, cuisine, beverages, and the warmth of the hospitality were simply exceptional. From the moment we were welcomed at the entrance, we felt completely at ease. Our server, Ludwing, whose expertise on the food and its origins is unparalleled, is highly recommended. He was able to answer every question I had, from the restaurant’s name’s significance to the intricate details of each dish’s history. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit and savor the culinary delights offered here.
