Traveltime
We tried a few different things at Monzu and overall had a solid experience.
For appetizers, we ordered the polpo and the artichoke. The polpo was cooked perfectly, tender and not chewy at all, which is not easy to execute. The artichoke was good, but I’m just not an artichoke person. I always forget how much effort goes into eating them and never quite know the “right” way to tackle one, so that’s entirely personal preference.
The bread was okay. After the way our server hyped it up, I was expecting something a little more impressive, so it didn’t quite live up to the buildup for me.
The carbonara was phenomenal. 10/10 and absolutely worth coming back for. My only small critique is that a few of the slivers of meat leaned a bit salty, but overall it was excellent.
The tagliatelle was good, creamy, and rich, basically a comforting spin on chicken Alfredo.
Overall, definite highlights, especially the carbonara, which I would return for without hesitation.

The restaurant is a Hidden Gem nestled on the corner of Jones and Flamingo. From the outside you would not know what a gem this is once you enter the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant it’s rustic looking and high rafters make it a unique spot and has such an Italian vibe it is something that you need to experience. We were greeted by the host who checked for our reservation and we receded by a lovely young man from Argentina named Ozzy. He explained the restaurant what it was about and that everything the restaurant meant as far as Italian dining. We were shortly greeted after that by our waiter Jack, very very knowledgeable about the menu and everything that you needed to make your dining experience outstanding. We had found out about this gem from a Instagram influencer named Brandon from Vegas. We had followed his advice by first getting the bread with ricotta cheese, it seems simple but it tasted outstanding with the blend of Romano pecorino pepper and olive oil drizzled over the top. Our waiter Jack recommended to burrata cheese salad and we had seen the Italian sausage appetizer and it asked for that as well. All I can say is it was an experience with both those dishes. We Then followed up with a recommendation from our way to jack which was a pillowy like ravioli with ricotta cheese inside in a light sauce and I followed up with the Tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and proscito Ham. It was rich and creamy and tasted out of this world. We closed our meal with traditional cannolis and another recommendation from a fabulous waiter Jack the cocoa bean gelato, as you can imagine it exceeded everything that we had previously ate. If you’re looking for a Hidden Gem with ambience flavor and outstanding food quality accompanied by unbelievable service from the chefs to the waiters to the bus boys this is your spot you need to go to this restaurant. Thank you Jack, our bus person, and Ozzy you made our Valentine’s Day very special.

Made reservations online for our 5th year anniversary, as this place was recommended by some friends; noting that they come here every special date and the restaurant always made it special.
Got to the restaurant early, got seated, they asked if we were celebrating anything, we mentioned the anniversary, but nothing came of it. We didnt experience anything like our friends did. Got sat down immediately and water was brought, sourdough was brought to us about 3min in, but our server didn’t get to us till about 5-7min later.
We ordered the Primi “3 course” meal, that was the only “experience” for us. The portion sizes for the main menu items excluding the chef course meal has pretty decent portions.
The ultraboard was nice, something small to start off with, the onion salad was pretty good. And honestly when asked how the food was. I mentioned it was a tad on the salty side. They didn’t even bat an eye, most places we’ve been to, would mention that they would let the chef know.
The ambience was decent, a little softer than most restaurant; we liked that, they did mentioned they were a sister restaurant to Nora’s. Nora’s can be quite loud, but the food exceeds Monzu’s.
The restrooms were clean, they had a little Alexa inside the restroom playing ambience music, and you can tune the music or chat with Alexa while in the restroom, that was quite unique.
They are very aware of dietary restrictions, which was great.
Would I come back here? Maybe. But that’s a low maybe.
There are places that exceed expectations, Monzu isn’t one of them.

It was a great evening. We went for my 60th birthday party. And we reserved the back room where they have wine stacked to the ceiling. Atmosphere was amazing. The service was impeccable that fresh sourdough bread is amazing too. My husband and I have been to Italy a couple times and the food is definitely truly honest to goodness Italian food. The owner of the restaurant came in to say hello while we were having dinner and everyone in the restaurant saying happy birthday to me! The atmosphere is just amazing. I can’t say enough about this place.

Last night was our anniversary dinner, and I was a bit nervous about choosing the right place. However, I knew this restaurant was my boyfriend’s favorite, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a wonderful host and seated in a lovely area with perfect lighting that set the tone for the evening.
Our server, Bruno, was exceptional—attentive, timely, and very knowledgeable about the menu and food selections. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful in helping us celebrate our anniversary, even surprising us with a complimentary glass of wine, which was such a nice touch.
Thank you, Bruno, for making our two-year anniversary such a memorable and special experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and a wonderful atmosphere.

While the space was comfortable and welcoming, the service and flow were horrible. Literally took us 35 min (timed) for our first round of drinks to arrive. We ordered another round immediately and it still took almost that long. So I decided to asses the situation. The bartender had the whole bar top and 5 tables. Also he was responsible to make drinks for the entire dinning room. Problem 1. Next there was no food runner and the Manager had to stay in the expo pretty much the entire time. This doesn’t allow him/her to asses and work the floor. Problem 2. Moving along. One bus person for the entire floor was extremely inadequate. That was issue 3. Let’s move on to food. The 309 year old sour dough starter bread and burrata cheese and olive oil was amazing!! The appetizers were had were solid and everyone in our group agreed they were a crowd pleaser. They were the lemon leaf meat bites. On to dinner. The charcuterie board was amazing and my sister loved it. The flat bread that my nephew ordered was spot on for him. The spaghetti and meatballs were horrific. The serving size was small and the meatballs were small gumball size. And tasted as if they came from the frozen section in the grocery. Sauce was very very salty. My brother sent his back. The barbaresco was fresh and delightful. And the old fashions were well balanced and properly made. My beer was one of my favorite pils as was the tequila I ordered. I work in this industry and have for 20+ years. And I cannot in good faith recommend someone to go here. Unless they work on the operations of their restaurant. This place could be so much more and so much better. And could be a gem that would demand reservations only. I hope they turn up the level of service because it was definitely not what white table cloth service should be. It definitely has the makings to be!!

Absolutely Amazing Restaurant!! We were here for our Daughter’s birthday and had a fantastic time. The Service was over the top, food was fabulous and the atmosphere was great.
Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff in here works as a team, which was really nice to see.
We highly recommend the Mega Board and Squash Blossoms. The Mega Board had 6 types of meat, 7 different cheeses, bread and walnuts. All I can say is “OH My Goodness “.

I came to town with a bunch of friends for my 50th Birthday and heard about Monzu from the locals. WOW! This place was incredible. The food was all so fresh and authentic with their own little twist. We started with the fried olives and Palermo meatballs. Delicious! Crepe lasagna, gnocchi, goat ragu, spiral pasta with shrimp and pistachio pesto were among the faves. Make sure to get the Sicilian donut for dessert! Filled with a delicate ricotta and candied lemon rinds. Melts in your mouth!
In addition to phenomenal food, the service was impeccable and the drinks were superb. Live music filled the air and perfected the vibe. This is our new MUST go to place in Vegas.
