I absolutely love this delicious spot! My boyfriend introduced me to this place 11 years ago and every now and then (frequently) we stop here to get a delicious meal! They have a great selection of already prepared dishes that we love to choose from, as well as a full kitchen you can order from! My boyfriend loves their gumbo because they make it with lots of blue crabs He also likes the stuffed bell peppers because they make them huge and topped with shrimps. He also likes the BBQ ribs because they are always so tender and falling off the bone! I love their cornbread! It’s so good and they definitely give you enough for two people lol! I appreciate how fresh and delicious the food is always and how they give you enough of food to eat almost 3 times when choosing from the options! Usually you pick one meat or fish with two sides, and I must say it’s pretty good for the price! The servers are really nice and they definitely show love on packing the plates lol If you’re ever looking for a good soul food, affordable, delicious, and tasty meal to go this is definitely the place for you!

Edit: So I finally remembered to get photos. May I add that being as though they have a buffet style service you’d be best to go between the hours of 2-6 to ensure you are not getting last night’s food from open to probably around 1 at the earliest when the most likely put out the freshest food of the day.
That day we went very close to opening time and my shrimp pasta was souring. It tasted like the milky part was spoiling and the shrimp was also foul. My other food was good though.
I always find that if you don’t finish the food within 12 hours even if refrigeratorated will smell spoiled. So just keep that in mind that this is eat now and maybe 12 hrs max later food.

WOW. What a surprise. We stopped in on a whim since we did not feel like driving around to find dinner.
This scrumptious spot was next to our hotel and already had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try.
I picked up the rib plate with corn and broccoli. My wife picked up the fish fillets with green beans and seafood pasta. And a small bowl of Gumbo.
We will be back.
The ribs are so tender and filling. The broccoli is filled with flavor, and the buttered corn is worth it.
The portion sizes are great and the cost is overly reasonable.

A good range of food – meat & sides. I had the fish which was delicious. There are tables to sit at but most people get takeaway. As me & my friend are visiting from Australia, we ate our meal at the tables. The staff were super friendly & as we were tourists they were interested in where we were from. Good value for money.

Omg..In New Orleans for the first time and decided to try this seafood by the hotel we’re staying in and I must say magnificent. I got the baked chicken (falling of the bone,moist and seasoned to perfection) spaghetti (delicious)and shrimp fried rice. Everything was absolutely amazing. Also tried the AUTHENTIC king cake for the first time and I will be taking some home!!!Great spot and the food portions are worth every dime!!!

First time here and they offer hot home cooked soul food and Chinese food. Best during the day or early afternoon. Arrived late in the evening and there wasn’t much to choose from, empty pans and trays with nothing new coming out. There’s no indoor seating or restrooms available inside. So it’s pretty much a carryout with a nice variety of food to choose from.
