Yesterday my family and I attended the Utica Homecoming Street Fair as we do every year! We had run around with the littlest letting her ride rides and we were starting to get hungry so I ventured off to find us something to eat! I stopped to read the menu at Mama Lupe’s Mexican grill and while I was trying to decide if I wanted tacos, a quesadilla or a burrito I witnessed several children come up to the lady working inside the food truck and ask if they could have a water. Each time she answered ” yeah baby go ahead and get you one.” No money exchanged hands, just thirsty kids getting something to drink!
I stepped up to the window and asked her to ring me up for 15 waters, but to leave them in the cooler! I just wanted to help her cover the cost of helping the kiddos! She replied “absolutely not” that the kids were thirst from running around playing and mom possibly didn’t have the money to give them! In today’s world it was a beautiful reminder that there are still good people!
And the food was excellent! I ended up getting a quesadilla and a California Burrito! They were fantastic! The steak was tender, the flavor was on point, and the prices were fantastic! Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be helping a kind soul help others ❤️
