I tried a flight of the beers at the Royal Oak Brewery, and I thought it was pretty good. The space feels rather like a pub, and it’s a comfortable, welcoming one. I sat at the bar which is backed by their brewing tanks. The staff seemed friendly and I was served fairly quickly. I passed on the food this time, but the menu looked good. The beers I tried were great, and their kölsch might be one of the best of that style I’ve ever tasted. All the beers seemed to be of good quality, however, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. This seems like a good place to hang out for a while with some friends.

Really cool brewery in downtown Royal Oak with a full service restaurant menu. Beer was quite good, and I really enjoyed the food. It’s late November, and they had a pretty legit Santa walking around talking to the kids which was a lot of fun!

I liked that I was seated immediately even though there were a lot of customers watching a game. The server was very nice and attentive.
My meal was a disappointment though. The hangover burger needs a more sturdy bun. Because of the toppings and sauce, the bun fell apart. I had cut it in half, but it was still a mess to hold.
The pickle spears didn’t have enough breading on them, and it was falling off. I had asked to substitute ranch for the garlic dip, but that didn’t happen. The server realized it when she brought me a takeout box, and offered to bring ranch to go.
I didn’t have anything else to eat after I left, but a couple hours later my stomach started to feel queasy, so maybe one of the sauces was spoiled.

Bartender was very nice and friendly! Food was about what you would expect for a brewery, I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was good! The beer was ok but I am biased because I am more of an IPA person. Overall would recommend!

If you are over 30 this is the BEST place to go in Royal Oak. Very friendly locals and regulars make you feel at home. The bartenders are outstanding. And they have a very good brewer named Jeremy that has really good mainstays & creative limited runs that you’ve just got to try before they’re gone! Also, Taco Tuesday is great all day long!

Went today for brunch/lunch. I had the Juicy Lucy and my friend had Baja Fish Tacos. The burger was good even though I requested medium rare and it was border line medium well. They were still juicy and flavorful. The burger came with fries which were the winner. They are seasoned fries and the seasoning on them were amazing. I also had the soft pretzel sticks and the asiago cheese sauce was amazing. The mustard was good but a bit strong on the vinegar. So if you are not a vinegar fan skip the mustard. My friend indicated the Baja fish tacos were good but could have used a bit more fish. It was tilapia which is a less meaty fish so that could be the reason. She said they are great for a light meal, they were not heavy at all. Our server was amazing. I wish I caught her name but we were her last table of the day. She answered all my questions, even found out for me what brand seasoning was used on the fries. She also checked on us and was very personable. She was amazing. I hope management realizes how great she is and does everything they can to keep her for the long haul. The atmosphere was great as well. I would highly suggest visiting this location for brunch/lunch. I look forward to coming back and reviewing the dinner menu.

This place never disappoints. The food is incredible. I highly recommend the Mediterranean white pizza and the Juicy Lucy burger (their take on a big Mac, but way better.) I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had anything I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. Waitstaff is always great as well. My favorite beer here is the Pappy’s Porch Sipping Porter. Tonight’s winner was Cap’tn Krunch Ale. Our server is Justin (another excellent server.) One other thing to mention about this place is that they have 9 widescreen TVs for any sports game you want to watch. Tonight the place was completely packed for a popular game but the food did not falter and neither did the service. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great beer with an emphasis on traditional European styles (like German and British) brewed by a very talented and award winning brewer, along with a nice mix of fun modern beer and ale styles so there is something for every kind of beer drinker. The food menu is always top quality, the happy hour food specials are a nice touch, and the bar and wait staffers are super friendly, meaning you can often see the regulars perched on their barstools, as they keep us coming back.

It was all great here during my last visit. The happy hour wings were fantastic (great deal!) and the Maurice salad was really good.
They have a solid, diverse beer selection and a respectable spirits collection should u want something different.
