I called this location asking about the specials that are being promoted at my hotel. The hotel is Comfort Suites on 52nd Street in Tempe, AZ.
I specified the promotion pizza I wanted, and she explained that it is no longer available at the advertised/promotion price. I said, “OK,” and hung up once I learned they do not honor the pricing I see in front of me.
Management at the hotel and Hungry Howie’s needs to update this madness asap. I ordered pizza from a competitor as a matter of principle.
I won’t be doing business with a business that fails to stand behind its promotions that they are at fault of maintaining. Poor management and lack of accountability cause me to rate this business with an “F” for “Fail.”

I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The attitude of the workers especially Billy the manager makes it even worse. Over cooked pizza green peppers and onions were overcooked they were black. My kids were hungry and Billie made a big deal because a couple pieces were missing so he only replaced 1 pizza. We went back and the manager was very rude and cocky. The customeris never right at this place. He tried to say my pizzas were “standard cooked”. Funny the redone pizza and bread sticks were very nicely re done. See pictures.

I’m a DoorDash driver, and I can to pick up the order, and I peacefully asked the person working behind the counter “How are you?” He ignored my question and asked what I was here for, and I said, I was asking you how you were, and the person said “I don’t have time for this, and said I was banned from the store. I told the person that I came in peace, and I was here just to pick up an order, and they still refused to hand me the order. The manager came and said I had to leave as well, and I asked what the problem was, and he said that the other worker had an issue with me, but he didn’t know what it was, but he still wanted me to leave. I was very respectful and peaceful the entire time, but because one of their worker was uncomfortable with me asking how he was, he had me banned from the store? Very unreasonable, for we should all work together with love. I will not be coming back to this place for obvious reasons, and I would recommend that you do not do business with them either. When visiting Grand Canyon definitely should never miss the pizza here especially Detroit motor city style deep dish pizza. It’s impossible to go to Italy when needed it’s a meal from home come true and divine. A must try for the friends and family. Truly authentic and a great place to stop by.

I was always told that even bad pizza was good pizza…
Nope-!
Bad is bad, and Hungry Howie’s is bad.
We ordered delivery to our hotel, which was only 2.5 miles away. I tracked the order on the app, and it took over 20 minutes to get to our room. Maybe there was another delivery on the way, but still. It showed up luke warm boarding on cold. But the funny thing is that it was slightly burnt.
The delivery person was not very friendly with no personality. Kinda wish I could take the tip back after the fact.
So, the pizza. Really salty. Hard to eat. The pepperoni and cheese was flavorless and the sauce was basically non-existent. The crust was doughy and chewy.
Check the pictures and you’ll see how much pepperoni they put on a pizza. Pitiful for a “Duo Pepperoni” pizza.
We hoped that they saw we were at a hotel and would provide paper plates or at least napkins… Nope…
They didn’t include parmesan cheese or crushed peppers either. That would have at least help kill some of the flavor of this awful pizza.
The best thing about Hungy Howie’s is that they sponsor the chanel list in the hotel room. Other than that, skip this place. Spend a few extra bucks on something else, anything else.
You’ve been warned.

Ordered a pizza through Uber eats. The pizza was not cooked fully and had raw dough. Uber didn’t refund us and neither did Hungry Howies. Won’t be ordering from here again or through Uber eats.

Surprisingly , great pizza! It is done in 20 minutes. 2 one topping pizzas for $21.75 out the door is difficult to beat. Perfect crust and amount of cheese that it wasn’t dripping or tasted like sauce.
