Waiters/waitresses were very friendly and fun to be around. Always happy to help if you want customizations on your food items or drinks. Even if you wanted a side of something after you placed your order. Place was clean and had a nice cozy lighting. Food was delicious and the pancakes were sweet, soft, and amazing like always. I love coming here with family for a nice get together or just as a small date. Wonderful seasonal options and plenty of standard menu plates for any type of appetite. Although at the end we did end up waiting about 30 minutes to get a soup to go, everything else was great and our server was very helpful. Newer renovations add to the coziness of the place. Definitely would recommend this place, just tends to be a little more pricey.

Amazing experience at Honey Ham Coffee.
The service was excellent; the young lady who assisted us was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean, and welcoming. The food is delicious with a great variety of options. Their burgers are top-quality, delicious, and truly artisanal, and the coffee is excellent. Breakfast is also outstanding — I had the huevos rancheros, and the flavor was absolutely amazing. Everyone is very kind, which makes the experience even better.
Highly recommended. I will definitely be coming back!

Full honest review of my visit 8/5/25 12:29pm.
I came by myself, and immediately got sat down. I started off with the strawberry smoothie($5). 9/10, would definitely recommended but don’t drink too fast or you’ll get a brain freeze. I got 2 and it’s not a fun experience. The honey-jam biscuits($6.99) came around 5 minutes after, and they weren’t that good. Very soft, pretty big, and freshly warm but they were kind of bland and not very crispy. I’de rate them a 7/10, average. Steak & eggs($24.99) + lemonberry cheesecake pancakes($2.99 upgrade) came last. The steak was JUICY and decently sized but not very thick. For the price I think it’s acceptable, 8.9/10. Tater tots were dry and a little bland, 7.2/10. Eggs tasted like regular eggs in every single restaurant. The pancakes were probably the best part. The pancakes themselves were fluffy, soft and went well with all of the toppings. Not the absolute best I’ve ever had, but definitely worth getting as a side, 9.7/10. The bill came out to $44.27. Overall, 9/10, positive experience, I would definitely come again

Had a bad experience with the server Eda because she was so rude & didn’t feel like she wanted to make things right when my order was not correct. I ordered the California omelette- bacon, mushrooms, cheese, & green onion. My omelette came out with those PLUS tomato & bell peppers which I’m allergic too. NOWHERE on the menu does it say it comes with these ingredients. I asked the waitress to bring me a new omelette & instead of apologising & trying to make things right, she was extremely rude with an attitude and tried telling me they were green onions. I CLEARLY see that it’s not green onion, its bell peppers. She then asked me what I wanted in the omelette 3 different times in a very rude and cold manner. The new omelette still came out with tomatoes which DOES NOT SAY its comes with on the menu. I kept this one because she made the situation incredibly uncomfortable like I’m bothering her. She brought this one without the cutlery so I asked “can i get a new fork and knife” she very rude walked away without saying a word. I then asked yes or no? & she came back with them shouting “if you say please, I will answer yes or no!” I understand everyone makes mistakes & thats ok but thats not what I’m mad about. I’m upset that her service was so cold & unwilling to do the job.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Honey-Jam Cafe in Countryside for breakfast, thanks to a friend who suggested the spot. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and inviting ambiance. It felt welcoming and well-maintained, setting the tone for what I hoped would be a memorable meal.

I ordered the country fried steak, which turned out to be one of the best I’ve had. The patty was impressively thick and cooked to perfection, with a flavor that showcased high-quality ingredients. The eggs were equally well-prepared, light, and satisfying, giving a great balance to the dish. My friend’s recommendation proved right, as the quality of the food here really shines.

I also tried the potato eggs Benedict, which, aside from one minor issue, was delicious. The potatoes were perfectly done, and the flavors melded beautifully. However, I had specified my order without mushrooms and a few other ingredients due to a food allergy. Unfortunately, the initial dish was served with everything included, so I had to send it back for adjustments. When it returned, the presentation left a bit to be desired. The components were separated onto different plates, making it feel disjointed. This, coupled with the delay, affected my overall dining experience, as my friend had finished their meal by the time I received mine.

While the food itself deserves a five-star rating for its flavor and quality, the service aspect slightly dampened the experience. That said, I’d still recommend Honey-Jam Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast in Countryside. With a bit more attention to detail in the service, it would easily be a five-star spot in my book.

This could be such a better place if they didn’t cheap out on the food. The most important items of the dishes are always leaving you wanting a full portion size instead of a slightly leaner one. Breakfasts like corned beef and hash will usually have 3 eggs with a good portion of the hash. Honey Jams will give you ONLY 2 cheap eggs and barely a portion of corned beef. I figured for $16 bucks this would not be a problem with any restaurant but it is with these guys. Omelets are decent but I swear it looks like they use 2 eggs, not 3, like any other restaurant will use. There’s better restaurants for the money.

I really like this spot. The food is above good and I like the menu options. It’s also clean and conveniently located for me. The service is usually great here, but it wasn’t today. It seemed like a slow time, which would lead you to believe you might get “better” service. No, my server had one table and disappeared several times. It took a while to meet her after being seated and then to get my bill. Thankfully, I didn’t need anything in between!

Honey Jam Cafe is one of those places that quietly reminds you why going out to eat—especially for breakfast or lunch—can still feel like a small joy. Walking in, the vibe is warm and welcoming without trying too hard, the kind of neighborhood spot where you immediately feel taken care of.

I went the lunch route and ordered a soup and salad, which sounds simple on paper but was anything but. The soup was comforting and flavorful, clearly made with care rather than dumped out of a bag. It had that slow-simmered taste that makes you pause mid-conversation and go, okay, this is really good. The salad was fresh, crisp, and thoughtfully put together, not an afterthought or a sad pile of greens. Everything tasted clean and balanced, the kind of meal that leaves you satisfied without feeling heavy.

What really stood out, though, was how affordable the whole experience was. In a time when casual dining can sneak up on your wallet, Honey Jam Cafe delivers quality food at prices that feel fair—almost refreshing.

The service deserves its own shout-out. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, the staff made the meal feel unrushed and relaxed. No hovering, no disappearing acts—just solid, thoughtful service.

Honey Jam Cafe is proof that you don’t need flashy trends to get things right. Good food, great service, fair prices. Sometimes that’s all you need.
