The service was excellent; the young lady who assisted us was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean, and welcoming. The food is delicious with a great variety of options. Their burgers are top-quality, delicious, and truly artisanal, and the coffee is excellent. Breakfast is also outstanding — I had the huevos rancheros, and the flavor was absolutely amazing. Everyone is very kind, which makes the experience even better.
Highly recommended. I will definitely be coming back!
I came by myself, and immediately got sat down. I started off with the strawberry smoothie($5). 9/10, would definitely recommended but don’t drink too fast or you’ll get a brain freeze. I got 2 and it’s not a fun experience. The honey-jam biscuits($6.99) came around 5 minutes after, and they weren’t that good. Very soft, pretty big, and freshly warm but they were kind of bland and not very crispy. I’de rate them a 7/10, average. Steak & eggs($24.99) + lemonberry cheesecake pancakes($2.99 upgrade) came last. The steak was JUICY and decently sized but not very thick. For the price I think it’s acceptable, 8.9/10. Tater tots were dry and a little bland, 7.2/10. Eggs tasted like regular eggs in every single restaurant. The pancakes were probably the best part. The pancakes themselves were fluffy, soft and went well with all of the toppings. Not the absolute best I’ve ever had, but definitely worth getting as a side, 9.7/10. The bill came out to $44.27. Overall, 9/10, positive experience, I would definitely come again
I ordered the country fried steak, which turned out to be one of the best I’ve had. The patty was impressively thick and cooked to perfection, with a flavor that showcased high-quality ingredients. The eggs were equally well-prepared, light, and satisfying, giving a great balance to the dish. My friend’s recommendation proved right, as the quality of the food here really shines.
I also tried the potato eggs Benedict, which, aside from one minor issue, was delicious. The potatoes were perfectly done, and the flavors melded beautifully. However, I had specified my order without mushrooms and a few other ingredients due to a food allergy. Unfortunately, the initial dish was served with everything included, so I had to send it back for adjustments. When it returned, the presentation left a bit to be desired. The components were separated onto different plates, making it feel disjointed. This, coupled with the delay, affected my overall dining experience, as my friend had finished their meal by the time I received mine.
While the food itself deserves a five-star rating for its flavor and quality, the service aspect slightly dampened the experience. That said, I’d still recommend Honey-Jam Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast in Countryside. With a bit more attention to detail in the service, it would easily be a five-star spot in my book.
I went the lunch route and ordered a soup and salad, which sounds simple on paper but was anything but. The soup was comforting and flavorful, clearly made with care rather than dumped out of a bag. It had that slow-simmered taste that makes you pause mid-conversation and go, okay, this is really good. The salad was fresh, crisp, and thoughtfully put together, not an afterthought or a sad pile of greens. Everything tasted clean and balanced, the kind of meal that leaves you satisfied without feeling heavy.
What really stood out, though, was how affordable the whole experience was. In a time when casual dining can sneak up on your wallet, Honey Jam Cafe delivers quality food at prices that feel fair—almost refreshing.
The service deserves its own shout-out. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, the staff made the meal feel unrushed and relaxed. No hovering, no disappearing acts—just solid, thoughtful service.
Honey Jam Cafe is proof that you don’t need flashy trends to get things right. Good food, great service, fair prices. Sometimes that’s all you need.
