Great atmosphere & food. A bit pricey to bring family. It’s on the far end of town but worth the drive. I had Fri night prime rib & was plentiful & delish.

Just off the highway. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The food was great and reasonable prices.

Went here after seeing the restaurant featured in many blogs, but the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. The Navajo taco was soggy and lacked the flavor of those I’ve had in Arizona. The prime rib was okay, but not as impressive as I expected based on the rave reviews.

This place is delicious, affordable, and the service is one of the best in Moab. In fact, it might BE the best. Got the 10oz sirloin cowboy dinner it came with a hearty salad that even had a beet!

We ate here on an early Friday night in early April and absolutely loved it! This is a family own business, and it has so much character in history on the inside it is tough to be. The service is absolutely spectacular even for a large party of 20 like us. I had the salmon dinner, which was a little thin on the salmon, but tasted great. We had also some amazing desserts here!

Gret steak, chicken fried steak and some hamburger steaks along with the hot beef. All were great. Fry bread is awesome with honey and love homemade fries. Great place to eat.

I dont know whether you like a place busy or quiet but this one is quiet not alot of people. Food is alright but some are not worth the price. Service is ok but they tip themselves between18%-24%, so you gotta keep that in mind. And also credit and debit fees

We were staying in Spanish Valley and picked the closest place to grab dinner.

THE FOOD:
We both ordered the prime rib and really enjoyed it (available on weekends). Ours was prepared to our liking. The Fry bread was fresh, fluffy, and yummy. The dressing on the salad was homemade and delicious. Baked potato and corn needed salt, but IMO always better if I can add the salt myself.

The banana cream pie is worth it.

It definitely has the feel of stepping into a good home cooking restaurant.

THE DECOR:
Pleasant, cozy.

THE STAFF:
Friendly and attentive.

You could definitely bring kids here.

We were in Moab for 8 days and this was our least favorite food, which was a bummer as the service was excellent and the atmosphere was so cozy. I was brought in by the photos of the restaurant- very good home cooking vibe (almost reminded me of a local Cracker Barrel). Our waitress was very kind and checked in on us regularly. Just the taste of the food was lackluster. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I really wanted something on the entree section that came with salad and baked potato, but I’m GF, DF and don’t like lots of red meat, so there really wasn’t anything for me there (I even asked if I could make one dish grilled chicken instead of breaded but it only came breaded)

Our party of 3 ordered:
– fish & chips – you could tell it was store bought frozen fish
– turkey sandwich with bread on side; I’ve had hundreds of turkey sandwiches without the bread in my life and this was lacking
– hearty hot beef sandwich / not great

I actually liked the fries but my parents did not. As much as I want to recommend this restaurant, I cannot.

Susie’s Branding Iron is the first restaurant I noticed just before entering Moab while traveling north.

The restaurant looked good from the outside, but after eating a poorly seasoned, very tough Flat Iron steak (slicing it against the grain didn’t even help) I knew there had to be better choices a few miles up the road.

The baked potato was dry and sour cream and butter offered very little help.

The staff is very young, inexperienced, and not overly friendly. The prices were OK.

In the case of Suzie’s Branding Iron restaurant, I believe there are much better choices just a few minutes away. Unless you are on the verge of death from hunger, I would drive a little further up the road into Moab to get an actual decent meal…!!!
