The first Macado’s restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. I got the blue’s burger and added mushrooms and barbeque sauce. It was so delicious. Onion rings were pretty good too. Very interesting vibe. Dinosaur decorations and old vintage celebrity photos and magazine/newspaper clippings. I think they might also have an arcade

My waitress Leighann was great! Very good service and since of humor. The wild Bill burger, fries and strawberry daiquiri were great too.

The rap music being played was terrible though. Seriously, most people don’t want to hear that in a restaurant, especially with family.

Super cute place with nostalgic memorabilia everywhere. Food was amazing as we shared the Titanic, potato skins and cheesecake drizzled with chocolate. The Pain Killer Hurricane was great and we were thankful we shared that too:) !

We had a cheeseburger, fries and the Coney Island sandwich (ham, cheese, and bacon) and the macaroni salad. It was all great. The cheeseburger was cooked just as I asked-well done and it came out hot and juicy. The bun was buttered and toasted.

The service was friendly and the prices were right. The burger was huge. The sandwich was the lunch special for $8.95. Grand total was $25. You can’t get these portion sizes hardly anywhere nowadays.

Cute decor; plenty of antiques and quirky things to look at while waiting for your food.

Good is great. Atmosphere is fantastic. We had Brooklyn as our server and was funny and just cutting up with us. Will eat here the next time I am in Marion.

My family and I really enjoyed this little restaurant. The atmosphere was fun, inviting, and family friendly. Our waiter was nice and made sure that we were happy. The food was delicious. The spinach dip was amazing and so was everything else. Everyone enjoyed what they had with absolutely no disappointment. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family. We had a great time.

I ordered bone in wings (plain with teriyaki and sweet red chili sauce in the side) and spicy potato skins with French onion dip. Got home and had some terrible looking boneless wings (more like chicken nuggets). The sauces were right. The potato skins were already cold and no French onion dip in the side. I call the restaurant and had to speak with the manager. She was rude to begin with. She told me to bring the other wings back and she would give me the bone in wings. I went to exchange the food and mentioned that the potato skins were cold. Manager came out and gave me the wings and said directly to me that she wasn’t going to remake the potato skins. I took my food and left. The managers customer service was rude and defensive. When order food out I expect the order to be right, especially when the sweet girl that took my order repeated my order back to me exactly right. Let’s not mention that the sidewalk and steps are nice covered in Mains street entrance. The back parking lot is a sheet of ice. And I had to make another trip into town to get the right food and was met with a rude manager. I’m sure she’d like to have her food to meet her expectations if she were ordering out. Do better ma’am!
