TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The girl upfront taking orders this afternoon was AMAZING. She listened so carefully and explained everything so clearly. Super sweet, gorgeous, and even hyped me up telling me how beautiful I was, love her energy! 10/10 experience. The food always hits, but it tastes even better when the staff is just as good !

We visited Dave’s Hot Chicken and had a fantastic experience! The restaurant was very clean and had a fun, open vibe with lots of graffiti-style designs and creative wall art. The space feels lively and welcoming.
The staff was super friendly, patient, and very helpful, especially when we had questions about vegetarian options—even though there aren’t many yet, they guided us kindly and clearly. We ordered Dave’s #2 and #3 combos, along with the cheese fries, and everything came out hot, fresh, and really tasty.
One small suggestion: it would be great if they offered a few more vegetarian options. I understand it’s “Dave’s Hot Chicken,” but adding a couple more choices could make it appealing to a wider range of people.
Bonus: The location is conveniently close to major highways, making it easy to reach whether you’re coming from nearby towns or just passing through.
Overall, it’s a fantastic spot with delicious food, a friendly team, and a cool, creative atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out!

I stopped by Dave’s Hot Chicken – Saugus and had a great experience thanks to Dave and Annie at the register. They were friendly, patient, and made the ordering process smooth. He helped me choose the right spice level and made sure my order was perfect.

“Absolutely amazing! Dev Hot Chicken blew me away with their flavors. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with just the right amount of heat. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put real care into every order. The spice levels were spot on — enough to give you that satisfying kick without overwhelming the flavor. I would to leave a good review for this place, but after another delivery order was missing half of the items, totalling almost $20, I just cant with this place anymore. Maybe I need to travel further and pick up my own orders, because clearly orders are being handed off to delivery drivers without being checked.
The employee that answered the phone was speaking very slowly and seemed confused as to why I was complaining
The manager sounded even more drunk/high somehow, which I just find very unprofessional and unfortunate for a place that makes such good food.
I get that this is just a food service job to some employees, but wait till your shift is over to hit the weed pen. You should not be handling food/equipment while under the influence.
This is not the first time that this location has forgotten to include a key item. Urinalysis required

On Dec 5th 2025 I went to this location for my first ever visit to DHC. The entire experience was amazing, and it was amazing because of 1 person…a amazing, kind, huge personality, smiles, and funny man named Andre. He welcomed my son and I in, explained the menu. He was so engaging and focused on making sure our visit the best it could be. And it was, I was so impressed by this man and his positive and fun attitude. I will definitely be back, and the food was very good, and I also tried a orange HI-C slush was delicious and a nice touch to the spicy chicken. Andre I hope you get a promotion man!!!! You make that place special! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Best chicken spot in the area easy. Ive come through here around 1130PM 3 or 4 times lately and food is always great and the service is even better. I’ve dealt with David each time and every time he is very pleasant and attentive to my order. I usually feel bad ordering food so late, but David helps alleviate that with his pleasant demeanor.

Best fast food chain, hands down. The food is delicious, fresh and consistent. Much better than similar chicken-sandwich chains. The best thing they have going for them though is their employees. They do an amazing job of hiring. I’m always impressed by how friendly, professional and helpful their people are. The level of customer service is exceptional. Their app could use a little work, but I still use it 🙂
