We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. Breakfast at First Watch in Blue Springs. We were seated with no wait but drink orders weren’t taken for 10 minutes. When I did get my coffee it was served lukewarm. Even the coffee in the carafe was just warm. When my wife received her small milk it was only a 2 oz glass with a couple swallows of milk. When we received our orders my wife liked her pumpkin pancakes and sausage but I did not care for either. Just different tastes I guess. My waffle was good but also served cold. It would not even melt the butter. Only received about two tablespoons of blueberry compote that barely covered half the waffle, but the bacon was okay. Food was pricy and serving sizes (milk, compote) were silly small. With tip it was nearly $50 for breakfast and I wasn’t even full. Not likely to return.

Long version: I almost left to eat somewhere else when I saw how busy it was. Glad I didn’t. The wait is worth it.
My honey chipotle chicken hash was of a higher quality than I expected. Not just taste, but presentation and preparation of the dish blew me away.
My cinnamon toast alcoholic beverage (can’t remember the name) was just right. Not overly strong, just enough to feel the alcohol then pull back. It also tasted really good, which is more important.
I got some pumpkin spice donut holes to go. It comes with a caramel dipping sauce and while it was amazing when I ate one after arriving home, I’m sure they’re even better fresh.
Shout out to Jaela who was on top of everything, very friendly, courteous, and polite.
10/10 would eat again.

Make sure you ask for Jayla!!! She is the sweetest, most thoughtful, GREAT service!!! And the food?? Mmwah!!!! Flavorful, pretty display, came out in like 10 minutes and no wait to get sat around 10:30am.

We been in differents first watch and we keep coming back because they have fresh products and tasty dishes.
This time we got the French toast for my kid, I got the farmer hash and my husband the bacado, all absolutely delicious
The plus was I got a free meal for my bday.
I can never get tired of recommending this place.
The waitress Jenna was absolutely great.
I would love if they do the maple croissant in a veggie way.

Thank you Johnny for the impeccable service! All of the food was delicious, my Benedict breakfast was healthy and refreshing and so was my mom’s, my dad substituted potatoes for his greens because he likes potatoes. He said they were alright. All in all it was a great experience and I can’t wait to get that delicious bacon vodka bloody Mary again!

Everything about this place is great. It’s rare for a breakfast place to ACTUALLY serve good coffee.
My main complaint is that every time you go to First Watch it’s a coin flip on if you will get served any water before your meal comes out. I don’t understand why this has happened to us so many times. We ask for water and it just never arrives. Usually this would be fixed by the server either 1) delivering the meal themself so you could remind them (doesn’t happen most of the time) or 2) the server checking in once your meal is delivered (doesn’t happen either). We then have to ask some other server or bus boy for water while our food starts to get cold.
Baffling to me that this has happened more than twice to us. Please just bring water when you bring coffee.

Food was perfect! Our favorite place to brunch, plenty of vegan choices that won’t leave you hungry like so many places I’ve been to. I love their steel cut oats with an extra fruit bowl! My son loves their meat options and bakery items as well. Colby was super friendly and kept our cups full! See you again soon!
