I located El Charro Norte over 2 weeks ago. Last time I had the Shrimp with green Chile sauce, rice & beans. Soo Yummy!!! Bob, had a combo platter & his raved about how tender & tastey the beef was in one of his tacos!
I asked for a taste & OH! WOW! He wasn’t kidding.
We eat at other Mexican places here, just ok.
In the valley is was better but no other place can hold upto the great taste & quality here!
We’ill be back & bring our friends with us!

It was too die for!!! I’m a chocolateholic!!!
We recommend this place to eat! But, please don’t eat
all of the chocolate, peanut butter cake, drizzle with caramel sauce.

El Charro Norte catering is awesome! Coleen and her crew fed over 70 guests at our Bike Prescott holiday party last Sunday. They helped us come up a menu that would make everyone happy – including vegetarians and GF people. They were professional and efficient. We especially loved that they served the food so everyone didn’t have to dig in the chafing dishes themselves. Everything was attractive and delicious! El Charro Norte makes the party happen.

We went on my Grandma’s boyfriends birthday, wanting to have a nice birthday dinner for him. This place is always a hit and miss, one day we come in and it’s nice, than the next time we come in the food is frozen and cold. Tonight we ordered, my grandma’s boyfriend got a bacon cheeseburger. And the waitress thought he said a cheese burger. Tell me why they charged us 4 dollars for 2 pieces of bacon, because she miss heard him. I am disappointed, Ive been coming here since I was a baby. Never once has this happened. I am really disappointed with El Charro.

1/9/26 We eat here about twice a week and love it every time. The margaritas are fantastic! And the food is wonderful. It’s a great atmosphere to sit and have a drink, with chips and salsa, the staff is top notch! Looooove this place!!
This is Chino’s hidden gem! Some of the best Mexican food in town! (If you like Alfonso’s your opinion is irrelevant) Consistently great bar tending – the javelina is delicious! And the tacos are yummy as well as good sized. If you live in Yavapai county and don’t know about El Charro Norte, are you really even from here?

Good food, overall. The dinners are really good. Our server was Haley and she was awesome at her job. This place is in the boonies, but worth the drive. The views are great. The bar area and front dining area have tv’s. There’s plenty of parking. They periodically have bands. There’s an outdoor area with firepits, cornhole, and a stage area.
Cons: The chips are obviously from a store bought bag of tortilla chips and the salsa is just so-so.

Seated at the bar, I was not expecting my taste buds to be impressed. Yet it was just this edgy of perfection! I will return again. The decor was fun and festive. It was a relaxing environment.

I’m addicted. It’s a 40 minute drive but I just want to keep going back to try new dishes and to reorder the previous ones. So delicious. It really is a Mexican steak house. Whether you have a steak or carne asada, it’s so tasty. If a dish says spicy, believe them. The diablo sauce is fiery. They will be happy to make it less spicy for you. Service is always so pleasant.
