I heard about this place 10 days ago, even though it is an hour drive I had to try it out after all the good things I heard about it. I was not disappointed! I arrived at 4 on a Saturday, parked across the street. There was seating at outside tables, and there were a few open seats inside. Impressive layout, very welcoming, along with a full service bar.
I was seated within 1 minute of walking in. My waitress (Kristin) was fantastic, very helpful and very attentive throughout my stay, within a couple of minutes I had my drink, and had my appetizer ordered-bacon wrapped jalapenos. It only took a couple of minutes to get them and they were fantastic! I’ve never been one to get to wrapped around the axel over appetizers but man… They were great!
For my meal I got the sirloin steak with green beans and loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare like I ordered it. The fresh green beans were seasoned just right and they were not mushy like most places have and the potatoes were also very good.
I have to say in the last year this is easily the best dinner I’ve had. But then Kristen had to mention blueberry cheesecake…. Well I was so full I couldn’t even finish my meal so I did get a slice to go. I haven’t ate it yet, but I can’t wait. I’m sure it’s as good as all the rest of the food was there. Thank you Kristin and the rest of the crew there for a very memorable dining experience. I’m bringing my group of friends up there next week so everyone can enjoy it!

The outdoor seating area at Corner Grub House was beautiful, with a fantastic view overlooking downtown Sulphur Springs. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick, and the beer was served ice cold — a great start to the evening.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite measure up. My steak, ordered medium rare, first arrived closer to medium to medium well. After sending it back, it came out medium. I also found a piece of plastic wrap in my broccoli. While the baked potato was fine, the steak’s flavor was underwhelming, especially for a filet.
That said, the atmosphere and service helped make the visit enjoyable overall. With a little more consistency in the kitchen, this spot could really shine.

Had such a great experience here I ordered the chicken strips and they were absolutely delicious crispy on the outside tender on the inside, and full of flavor. Everything came out hot and fresh, which made it even better. Our waitress, Perla, was wonderful. She was incredibly sweet attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. She checked in at just the right times and had a great attitude the whole visit. The combination of amazing food and excellent service really made this a standout experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

Elizabeth is most wonderful person we have met in a bartender. She very personable, remembers our drinks, always checking in on us is everything is ok and her personality is the greatest. I wish there were more bartenders out in other establishments like her. She is the most awesome person. When my family is here out of state this is the first they want to come to meet Elizabeth. It’s blessing to come here.

Always consistently great food. This was my first time having the Salad bar. While compactl its pretty well stocked. Very comparable to larger salad bars . Lots of paintings on the wall. Just a Narrow little corner Restaurant in the old part of town. Nice out door seating. Chicken Fried Steaks are always Tender N hearty. Mashed potatoes and fried okra are great. They used to have catfish (it might be the all you can eat, I didn’t ask last time i was in. Prices may seem high on the menu but trust me its worth every penny. If their super busy service may fall off a little and trust me they do get busy. It’s not bad service they’re just swamped. I will always go here when budget and circumstances allow.

I went for lunch and had Kristen as my waitress!!! She was absolutely amazing!!! So friendly and helpful!! We had the stuffed jalapenos for appetizer, chicken fried steak with fresh green beans and loaded baked potato, then cheesecake for dessert. Food was delicious, service was spectacular 10 out of 10!!! Will be back again for sure!!!

The Grub House is our favorite place to visit when in town. Their food is amazing especially the rolls. We look forward to having Elizabeth working the bar. She always takes care of us with great service and always making good recommendations on food combinations. We are disappointed when she’s not working when we come in. The whole staff seem like good servers, working hard. We will always come back!

I’m a local and my experience here so far has made this my favorite spot to visit on my own or with family and friends. This is the first restaurant I’ve ever paid attention to their lunch and dinner specials. The food is always made with care. Elizabeth is my favorite bartender in town and this is her spot. The drinks are always cold, tasty, and on time even on the busiest nights.
