When my daughter and I walked in, it wasn’t too busy so we got seated right away, which was good because we were starving. It took me a while to decide what to order because everything sounded good. I had to tell myself to take it easy since I have a habit of ordering way too much because I want to try everything during my first visit. We ended up ordering the Crawfish Etouffee, Cajun Mushrooms, and Korean Dumplings for our appetizers; and the Mini Boil with the All-In Sauce for the main course. The appetizers were good; my favorite of all three was the mushrooms because the flavor and texture was perfect. I wasn’t a fan of the dumplings because I’ve had my fair share of dumplings in my life and this one wasn’t anything to rave about. Not to mention, the ingredients didn’t match a typical Korean-style dumpling. The ingredients seemed more of a Chinese-style dumpling – perhaps they should rename this entree to, “Asian Dumpling” vice, “Korean Dumpling” because the name threw me off. The Etouffee was good and my daughter really loved it; however, I’ve had better at other restaurants. The boil was great; that entrée contained a good variety of seafood. If I were to return for another visit, I would most likely request more cajun seasoning since the All-In sauce didn’t really have that strong cajun taste, in my opinion. But that’s always the challenge of trying a new seafood boil restaurant for the first time.
The service was outstanding, courtesy of Christine – she was attentive, professional, and had patience while I was taking forever to decide what to order. The restaurant’s décor was nice and the dining area (seating) was adequate. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable, especially considering how much prices have been increasing in this country for goods and services. Overall, I liked this restaurant as depicted in my 4-star rating. There were a lot of positives about my visit, but there were also a few less than adequate things – still wasn’t show stopper things either. Based on my first visit, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
This was our first time at Asian Cajun, and we were craving a good seafood boil. The positive online reviews led us here, and we’re glad they did! Parking was easy, and we were seated at a booth, just as we requested. The restaurant was clean and surprisingly spacious.
Service was excellent! our server even memorized our order without writing anything down. I ordered the shrimp and snow crab boil ($40 at the time), and the portion was generous. I had enough leftovers to enjoy for dinner the next day, so I’d say it was a great value.
Our kids had noodles, and my husband went with the Po’ Boy sandwich. We also had tea and soda to drink. Everyone left happy and full.
If we’re ever back in town and craving a seafood boil, we know exactly where to go!
The owner (who I personally met, Angel) is not only a talented restaurateur but also a genuinely wonderful business owner. She supports other local businesses, and it shows in the way she runs her restaurant — with integrity and heart. We truly appreciate how she values community and relationships.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing Cajun food and a place that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in!!
I’m not one to leave reviews… but dang… I had to..
