When I arrived, the dining room door was locked despite employees clearly being inside. There was no sign posted indicating that the lobby was closed, and multiple customers walked up expecting the restaurant to be open, only to stand there confused while no one communicated anything. It quickly became clear that drive-thru was the only option, but that information was never conveyed.
I’m visiting family in the area for the holidays, and since there are no Hardee’s locations where I live, enjoying a fresh breakfast biscuit is something I genuinely look forward to. Unfortunately, this location continues to disappoint. The staff often appears loud, unwelcoming, and disengaged, no smiles, minimal courtesy, and the restaurant feels understaffed with little visible leadership.
Additionally, the restrooms were not up to acceptable cleanliness standards. Sadly, this seems to be a recurring issue, as I’ve noticed similar problems at the Gold Hill location as well.
After speaking with another frustrated customer, I decided to leave this review in hopes that awareness leads to improvement. I’ve attached photos and video showing the lack of signage and customers standing at the locked door without any communication from staff.
This location needs serious attention from management. Right now, it’s simply not a good look.
Unfortunately, today’s experience was very different.
In the drive-thru, the employee at the window appeared distracted and disengaged. She barely opened the window, had her phone in one hand scrolling while taking my card with the other, and then asked me to pull into a parking spot to wait for my order. When she came out with the food, she was still on her phone, walking slowly through a busy parking lot, stopping to look closely at her screen. She was wearing baggy sweatpants and fuzzy bedroom slippers, which was surprising for a food service environment.
The food was handed to me with no apology or acknowledgment, and the contents had spilled out of the container into the bag. One item I ordered was missing entirely. When I pointed this out, I was asked for a receipt (which I was never given) and initially told nothing could be done. I eventually had to go inside to receive the missing item.
On top of the service issues, the food quality was poor. The biscuits were flat and hard, which is unusual for this location.
Overall, it felt like the employee working the drive-thru today had little concern for customers or her coworkers, despite several cars waiting. I truly hope the usual manager returns soon or that this was just an off day, because this location is normally much better than what I experienced today.
I understand that the employees may not be at fault, however inaccurate listing of hours is an issue.
For some reason I decided to give Hardee’s a try after several years. It was a mistake. I got there 10 minutes before noon when breakfast is supposed to end and I was told they are all out of breakfast. Fine. I ordered a chicken sandwich plain. No pickles and no mayo. The sandwich I got had both. It felt like it had been in the warmer for an hour and there was black grease all over the bun. I’m afraid to eat it.
Update: fortunately they do listen to the survey think they send. The owner called and was amazing confirming she can resolve the problem for me however i see fit offered to replace the food that was unsatisfactory.!looking forward to turning my experience around!
