So a friend of mine was nearby there and decided to try Odoms and offered to buy me lunch. So I can only review the food that I got. I went on the website and saw they were voted for “best ribs”. I opted for the rib plate with my 2 sides of the beans and cabbage. I also get an extra side of potato salad. I am a cook, foodie and have frequented a LOT of bbq joints in Texas.
POTATO SALAD – too sweet. Didn’t taste fresh. Couldn’t put my finger on the odd seasoning that was in it. It tasted like maybe an old seasoning was used. I threw most of it away.
BEANS – ok. No juice at all. A little flavor was there. I’m pretty sure these are canned ranch style beans. I added them to my chicken chili I was making.
CABBAGE – ok. Again odd seasoning. Maybe same old seasoning that was used in potato salad. I ate a few bites and threw the rest away.
RIBS – overcooked and under seasoned. I’m pretty sure they were boiled. So not to waste this meat I ended up deboning the rib, chopping up and making a “chopped rib sandwich”. *sigh*
I really wanted to give a better review but I just couldn’t. Oh well. I will never get food from them again.

visited your establishment today and a lady inquired about me inspecting my food, to which I responded that I had paid for it and had every right to examine it. She then began to argue and became confrontational, prompting me to express have a good day I would no longer support this business due to her unprofessional demeanor, especially after I had made a purchase. Notably, a friend had previously warned me about her attitude, but I chose to give the business a chance. I strongly suggest that you address this issue, as it may lead to a loss of customers. The food was satisfactory, but I will not be returning or spending my money there again. It is unfortunate that a business would fail to provide good customer service, particularly to those who are trying to support it.

So I just bought a rib plate from there today. It came with potato salad and some beans. I asked the cashier that I wanted another vegetable besides beans, because those beans that they have are not bar b que beans. She told me that was all I could have was the beans that I don’t like and potato salad. She said that was all the rib plate came with, and I couldn’t select any other sides. I went ahead and got the plate like she said that it was, because I just found out that I have high blood pressure, and I was weak from being hungry. I also wanted hot bar b q sauce, but the lady told me that it would cost 92 cents, which is weird because, I have bought mixed order’s before with ribs and links, and they always ask if I wanted hot or regular bar b q sauce. Anyway, I got the rib plate home, and it was subpar. The whole plate was disgusting. I couldn’t eat. Something had an ugly taste to it. I can’t tell if it was the beans or the ribs. I tried to finish eating the food on the plate, but I couldn’t. The bit of food that I did eat was not satisfying. I ended up throwing the food away (money). That food was not worth the $27 and some change that I paid for it. Especially when I couldn’t get the sides that I actually wanted.

Customer service was way better this time I got a chop beef (which was good but had a little too much fat in it) and two rib sandwiches the ribs were hard , I ended up giving it to my dog and she didn’t even eat it…i remember when this place was packed out line outside the door praying that it gets back to that.

I stopped by this barbecue place and the experience was disappointing from the start. They opened late, and when I finally got to the counter, the cashier had an attitude for no reason. I simply asked to taste a sausage link, and instead of just saying they don’t offer samples, she snapped at me to “read the menu.” I didn’t mind the no-sample policy — it was the tone and disrespect that made the whole interaction uncomfortable. I thanked her for her time and left. If this is the level of customer service they offer, I won’t be returning.

Upon walking in the place its small and nothing really to look at. I ordered a pound of sausage a pound of brisket and a half pound of ribs the total came up to $61 or so dollars. My problem with the food is it all was smothered in bbq sauce I didn’t ask for it (see pics). Also the taste was very bland brisket and ribs was dry and overcooked. Places that put bbq sauce on everything is covering up something in my opinion

I was very much looking forward to eating here, but was very disappointed. They absolutely smother the meat in BBQ sauce. I learned the hard way, they won’t ask if you want it wet or dry, you have to speak up and say dry.
There are no tables and food was take out only. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially since the way you start is different than most BBQ places.

In front of this building reading reviews. Taking my $ else where. I’m black so I can say this. Why is the customer service always poor at black owned businesses? To see the consistent complaints in the reviews should warrant change. Sad because we can’t support our own with rude treatment.

The food is disgusting. Brisket dry and old tasting. Macaroni noodles over cooked with no real cheese flavor and look like cream of mushroom was added. Throw the whole restaurant in the trash cooks included.
