I’ve been on the hunt for some good Spam Musubi lately and finally stumbled upon Leo’s Island BBQ. I ended up grabbing two musubis and the Chicken & Beef Combo, and honestly, the smell hitting me in the car was a 10/10 before I even took a bite.
The Chicken & Beef combo was the way to go. Both meats were super flavorful and cooked perfectly. I’m glad I did the mix because choosing just one would’ve been a mistake. The Spam Musubi was the best part. I haven’t had a good one since I was in San Antonio, and this totally hit the spot.
I’ve definitely found my new go-to for island cravings. I’ll be back for sure!

Been stopping in to pick up the (previously wonderful) Hawaiian type macaroni salad for about 2 years now. Paid almost $10.00 for 2 simple scoops. Not sure what happened with their macaroni salad, but it’s turned into nothing more than macaroni noodles and mayonnaise. Used to have much more in it & taste much better. Will find another place to get this dish from.

No frills Hawaiian BBQ plate lunch place for takeout. Had to call my order in as I didn’t find an online ordering site. Good flavors, great mac salad, big portions, and not too salty (unlike the Hawaiian place down the street). Would go back!

Heard that this is one of the best Hawaiian style BBQ spots in the Phoenix valley & was finally out in the area, so I had to stop by. Absolutely glad I did! Had the Kahlua pork plate, manapua, and BBQ beef musubi. Everything was excellent. The Kahlua is perfectly moist, and has a really gorgeous smoke to it. The macaroni salad is really tasty and feels light and refreshing paired with the meat. Even the steamed veg (broccoli and cabbage) was streamed to perfection (just the right crunch, neither raw nor soggy). We’ll absolutely be back whenever we make it out this way

Great Hawaiian bbq! Tried several different menu items. From best to worst (but they were all very good): island bbq chicken, chicken katsu, spam musubi, fried shrimp, kalua pork, and teriyaki chicken. Mac salad was also very good. Teriyaki and katsu sauce were on point as well. Honestly enjoyed everything we ate so I don’t think you can go wrong here. Looking forward to trying it again some time

A good take out option for lunch or dinner. So much meats within each meal. Both veggies and meats are fresh for all the dishes we ordered.
The inside seating area is packed during my weekday visit. Not an ideal place for dine in or with kids due to the packed interior seating layout. They have a very good control on the cooking oil control overall all the meals we had.

We had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at this location. Our order was messed up, and when my wife addressed the issue in person, she was not asking for a refund—only for the mistake to be acknowledged and handled appropriately.
She was treated rudely and disrespectfully by the owner himself. His behavior was dismissive and unprofessional, and the interaction escalated to the point where my wife left the restaurant in tears.
After she had already left, I called the restaurant. That was the first time a refund was requested, and once again, the owner refused, took no accountability for the mistake or his behavior, and showed zero concern for how a customer had been treated.
Mistakes happen in food service. What is unacceptable is an owner who chooses arrogance over accountability and shows no empathy or basic decency toward customers.
We will not be returning, and I strongly caution others: if something goes wrong with your order, this owner will not make it right. He was argumentative and dismissive. Classless owners. The way men think they can treat woman is wrong. Shame on this owner.

Big food proportions and delicious food. You can tell it is fresh made so it may take a little while to get your food. Overall, I have great experience and highly recommend it.
