Social Profile:

Chef Point was started as an idea nearly 2 years before the business materialized. Paula and Franson successfully acquired a bank loan on January 1, 2003, completed construction and opened their facility in April of the same year. The restaurant grew at a much faster rate than expected. Within the first four months they had to redesign the layout of the facility to add more space to the restaurant and reduce the convenience store square footage. By early 2004 they again had to redesign the facility to increase the size of the restaurant. Much of Chef Point’s growth has come from the local media releasing the secrets of the incredible 5 Star Food in a gas station! Channel 11 has aired five stories and Channel 5 has aired two stories, CNBC…

Very friendly. First time here and received a.very warm welcome. Kelley was our waitress and explains our options amazingly. We ended up trying a few different things which were amazing as well. Service dog friendly as well. Very happy I came here.

Good Service: if you’re OK asking for almost everything beyond whats already on the table.

Overpriced Food for the Quality: Sauce tasted like they made a big batch and reheat it to use the same one with minimal changes for multiple dishes.

The only thing that made the chicken picatta a chicken picatta was that they added capers…

Only 3 pieces of shrimp for lunch shrimp dishes.

Wonderful food as always. Discovered new dishes like the lobster bisque, what is cooked in a sourdough bread bowl. Love how the creativity is complemented by deliciousness

We were quickly seated and well served by such a lovely Christian young lady. She was cordial and suggested specialty food she had tried and liked. To our surprise she was right on target. The food was outstandingly delicious and plenty for the price! The atmosphere was clean fresh and friendly also.

The chicken and waffles and the monte Cristo were amazing! We visited late mid afternoon so it was not busy. The management were very attentive. We will be going back.

Excellent/good, but pricey Valentine’s dinner.
Everything was great, except the (big) trout filet was a bit dry. But that’s my fault, since I’m used to fresh out of the water trout at dedicated trout farms.
The waitress did everything she could, but the timing of the kitchen was premature for the entre, while we were still enjoying the excellent clam chowder. Great crème brûlée for desert.
The atmosphere is a bit spartan for my taste.

This restaurant was fantastic! An interesting mix of menu items, they had one of my personal favorites (hard to find and super tasty) Bouillabaise, a type of seafood soup. It did not disappoint! My husband’s chicken and waffles were delicious as well. This one is a repeat for sure

I discovered this restaurant via Doordash. I had never seen it nor heard of it, but the menu appealed to me today. I decided to try the Shrimp Scampi with garlic bread. Ohhhh…emmmm…geeee…so yummy! The shrimp was grilled to perfection, the sauce plentiful but not overpowering. It was rich and buttery and so savory with spices that blended so well together without being overpowering. Everything melted in my mouth and paired so well with the Prosecco I was drinking. And I would normally not rave about garlic bread. But it was also perfect. Each bite perfectly seasoned, with a great balance of crunch and butter. This meal was a treat to myself for Valentine’s Day… And it really checked all the boxes. I’m looking forward to actually going into the restaurant to explore the menu more fully. And I have left overs for lunch tomorrow. Perfect!

Was very excited to try Chef Point after seeing it on Diners drive-ins and dives. We had a party of 6 and food was a mixed bag. Oxtail was delicious. Chicken fried steak was one of the worst I’ve had. It’s not hand dipped / breaded – it looked just like a tv dinner. Highly recommend taking the fried steak off the menu.
