I got food plus milk and ice cream from the market. The young woman who took my order explained that they were gonna drop new chicken for me and it would be 7-8 minutes. I went to get the milk and decide what ice cream wanted to come home with me. They were busy with dinner so I had to go to the grill counter to checkout. The young man apologized and explained the manager had pulled everyone to get the dinner rush and drive thru moving as quickly as possible. I paid and he thanked me.
A couple of minutes later and my food was ready. A different young man walked my bag to me, apologized for the wait, and explained that they had made all 3 items fresh since I had to wait for chicken to grill. I asked him about a menu item and he gave me an explanation and I headed home.
This encapsulates my experiences. Polite, professional, helpfully, and cheerful. They might take a couple of minutes longer or make a mistake occasionally, but when they do they are apologetic, helpfully, and correct the issue.
Good crew, good food, good Braums.
The most alarming issue was the lack of gloves while scooping ice cream. I watched employees scoop ice cream with bare hands touching the bottom of the scoop—where the ice cream rests—and then casually wipe their hands after each scoop. This is extremely unsanitary and appears to be a serious health code violation.
Not a single staff member wore gloves, regardless of what they were handling. I saw one employee making a hot fudge sundae with chocolate sauce dripping down her hands—still no gloves. That’s when I threw the ice cream away.
This isn’t just about individual employees—it points to poor management and a lack of proper food safety standards. I will be reporting this to the Health Department along with the video I captured. Until changes are made, I would strongly recommend avoiding this location.
Can’t make this up. It was also dirty , dirty floors, table was sticky.
edit: the tenders were either stale or were pink :/
