We came to Wild Ginger for lunch. It is located in the middle of Tomoka Town center, which is nice because there are many shops around and good food options in one place. I ordered the ramen. Everything was good except the marinated egg, which was a little too salty for me. The noodles and broth were still enjoyable, and I would come back to try other dishes on the menu.

Food is really good. We ordered some sushi rolls as well as a hibachi plate. Food was fresh and very flavorful. Only bad thing is service was a bit wonky. Our server was only available to take our order and bring out the food. Once the hibachi plate arrived (which we were sharing) we had to wait a while in order to get a side plate. When we got the attention of another server they looked and acknowledged us but didn’t come, after a while our server came we asked for the plate and then the server we had gotten the attention of came to the table and said he wasn’t ignoring us but they aren’t allowed to help any other servers table and they had to wait until our assigned server helped us.

I eat here all the time and the food is always a 10/10. I wanted something different, so I decided to get the scallop hibachi. I was skeptical because I wasn’t sure if they would give me tiny scallops or a little bit of scallops. Let just say the scallops were huge and delicious. I could not eat all my food in one sitting because it was enough for about 2-3 meals! I am very satisfied. I ordered online and came late to pick up my food, and everything was still fresh.

I’ve been a couple of times, but I don’t really recommend getting anything besides the sushi. The ramen is generic ramen noodles kind of dressed up. The noodles had zero flavor and took away from the great flavor of the broth and everything else in it. I’ve also had the Pad Thai, and it was too sweet and had zero peanut flavoring to it. They also used angel hair pasta for the Pad Thai. Just wasn’t a fan I guess, but make your own decisions, cause you might still like it.

Food ordered: Chicken Ramen (1 star), kids meal shrimp hibachi (4 stars), 3 different types of sushi .. shriml tempura, lobster, krazy roll( 3 stars) appetizer: holiday roll (3 stars). Chicken Ramen was flavorless and the ramen spoon utensils smelled of soap leaving a soap-ish flavor into the Ramen. hibachi kids dinner was pretty good. Rolls were average at best and the sakes were as good as they get from the brand. I wouldn’t recommend them or return. Server was nice and gave us grace and time to get my father, wife and myself time to order, since this was our first time here.

I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp at Wild Ginger Japanese Restaurant, and let’s just say the food showed up… but the flavor did not.
The portions were small compared to other local hibachi spots, and the seasoning was basically nonexistent. No oyster sauce. No sesame oil. Just vibes. The fried rice came plain as can be—no scrambled eggs, no vegetables—like it was on a budget cut I wasn’t told about.
It honestly felt like a lot of corners were trimmed in the kitchen. The décor and service were great, I’ll give them that—but I don’t go to restaurants to admire the walls or befriend the servers. I go to eat, and the food should at least try to participate.
Nice atmosphere, nice staff… but the hibachi needs to wake up and choose flavor.

Excellent, I love a sushi place that looks clean and pristine presentation. I can trust good care was taken for my sushi and sashimi. I had the sweetheart roll and it was delicious, definitely recommend. I had the seaweed salad and my husband had the hibachi dinner. Portions were great and the service was friendly and dignified. We enjoyed our time here and we can’t wait to go again!

Very good and fast service, Hibachi and lunch time special is amazing. We sat down for drinks and we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering it. Our server was really nice and there wasn’t a wait time to sit down. Overall, I recommend this place to any Asian food lovers out there from there Hibachi to their ramen it was all amazing!
