I’ve had this place on my list to try for awhile. I was a bit disappointed with the food. We got the garlic cheese bread (very good! Nice and garlicky). We also got the supreme mostaccioli and baked mostaccioli. We thought it was ok. The sauce wasn’t my favorite. My husband really liked the meatballs though! The salad was not very good. The Italian dressing didn’t taste right. Like it was watery.

The restaurant is super cute and the staff are nice and friendly!

I just enjoyed my first dinner at this 92 year old St Paul institution. This was a treat, from walking in and being greeted by the very happy father? Of the owner? It doesn’t matter he was just infectiously happy. The food was great the atmosphere was low key and the prices were very affordable.
This is not a candle light Italian restaurant, it’s an old fashioned simply delicious place to get a great dinner!

We wanted to go to Little Oven but they weren’t open. So we went here. We remember going here about a year ago and it was alright. This time we went it was bad. We ordered two alfredos, one with chicken one without. Our server gave us one alfredo with chicken, so we had to order another one. The serving sizes were pretty small, usually my family takes leftovers. But we were able to finish everything today. They had bread on the table but it was just cheap bread from the grocery store. The pasta sauce also tasted like it was cheap it had no seasonings and was flavorless. I wanted to get lasagna but it had meat in it and they said there wasn’t an option to take out the meat. I ordered ravioli instead but they still gave me a meatball. This meatball was gigantic it was more like a meat boulder. Our waiter got someone else’s food confused with ours and was confused when we told her it wasn’t ours. I wanted to have a nice meal with my family out a nice restaurant but I could have done better if I went to Aldi’s.
Too expensive for the quality. I recommend going to Davanis or Little Oven.

I’ve gone here over my whole lifetime it seems. But last night my family threw a surprise party for my birthday at this wonderful restaurant. They had enough seating in a side room to accommodate part of my huge family. They had enough food to please everybody and it was absolutely delicious. I recommend the ravioli. And I just wanna say the two women who were serving our table were absolutely lovely and amazing servers. Thanks for the years of delicious food and family atmosphere.

We took a spontaneous trip to see what the hype is about, as I try to support small, local businesses as much as possible. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. Everything on the menu sounded amazing, so I ordered the half-and-half mostaccioli and the famous spaghetti and meatball. When my plate arrived, it was penne pasta, spaghetti noodles, a very watered-down red sauce, and a single large meatball, and everything was unfortunately under-seasoned. Not even a hefty amount of Parmesan cheese could fix. The chicken parmesan was also a miss — it tasted like a pre-breaded frozen chicken breast, and the bread served with our meal was stale.

That said, I want to end on a positive note. The ladies were friendly, and the tiramisu was genuinely the highlight of our stop. I appreciate the hospitality, but overall, it wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for.

It’s not a place decent enough to give it another try.

Yarruso’s is the BEST Italian food and service! The owner Fred and his daughter are always friendly, attentive, and make sure we are pleased with food. After being in hospital for surgery, we stopped at Yarusso’s for a great meal and we were treated excellent. A great experience!!!

Yarusso’s is the place for your true Italian fare! They’ve been making the original Italian specialties for over 90 years – you can be sure that it’s the best out there! The marinara sauce flows like the lava from Vesuvius, and the Bruschetta (pronounced Bruce-Keh – Tah, with an Italian accent, mind you) is crispy and delicious like the pizzas they make. Just add cheese, Parmigiano of course, and you’re about to have a meal of your lifetime.

Good food and good people – that’s the Yarusso’s way. And the Italian murals on the walls add to the Italian atmosphere, so sit close to the Colosseum painting, eating their Spaghetti, maybe a sip of wine or two, and you’ll be singing ”O, sole mio” like Pavarotti!

Great place for a Sunday lunch, an Anniversary, or a romantic dinner with the Lady of your dreams.

Last night, we popped in for the first time, and I am so glad we did! We ordered calamari, garlic cheese toast, ravioli cheese and meat with half and half sauce, and spaghetti supreme! Everything was delicious. The staff were all so kind and welcoming.
