So very tasty. The homemade tamales were very close to a restaurant in KC area. The burrito with shredded beef were delicious and so filling I had 2 meals. Great atmosphere. Don’t let the construction on the main road scare you away. Thier menu is simple but delicious. The salsa and chips are definitely homemade

Food is bad and bland. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but it being pretty is not enough. If you’re looking for a good Mexican restaurant, this is not it.

I have been dining with Ruiz for over 15 years now. I have never gotten bored of their amazing foods. Their environment, the staff, the food, all melds into a beautiful symphony of amazement. I have cultivated a relationship with not only the staff, but the establishment as a whole. 100/10 would definitely recommend to everyone!

Ruiz is one of my all time favorites for delicious Mexican food. Everything was delicious but my favorite are the Barbacoa tacos. The meat was outstanding.
Maria was the best waitress.
Can’t wait to go back. ♥️♥️♥️

The food is consistently delicious. The tamales are great as are the street tacos. Our waitress turned me on to the orange margarita with a tajin rim. It’s my new favorite!

My family has been coming here since I was in diapers, and my husband and I still absolutely love it! Best empanadas I’ve ever had! The tamales are soft and warm, and you can top them with delicious shredded beef and cheese. My dad always gets the Plato Chico that offers a nice variety of tasty, crunchy foods.
I’ve never had a bad experience here, ever, and the staff is always nice and friendly. This restaurant has lasted for generations, and I’m hoping it lasts for many more.

I have been a faithful customer of Ruiz since I would go with my family in high school. You cannot beat their spicy bacon-y frijole dip or the silky smooth Guacamole Ruiz.
Lately – my favorite has been the Chile Coronado Pepita – but last night, I tried their beef stew and it was such a comforting bowl of yummy goodness on a cold night after a major snowstorm. So glad we ventured out and made the trip to Florissant.
Try Ruiz – you won’t regret it!

This is the oldest and most well established Mexican restaurant in St. Louis, but also the most authentic. If you were looking for great food at a good price and a friendly staff, this is the place to go! I highly recommend the Barbacoa burrito, and the Mexican corn.

The BEST Mexican restaurant is St. Louis. I don’t know what else to say. The service is always top notch. The food is worth the drive. The margaritas are amazing (and strong). Just go and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I ordered on DoorDash and after 30 minutes past my delivery eta I called the restaurant and spoke to Rachel who apologized on behalf of DoorDash and proceeded to tell me that the kitchen would remake my order and she would personally deliver it to me since I live so close. Next thing I know she’s knocking on my door and even refused an additional tip. This was my first experience with Ruiz and I was more than impressed. The food was amazing and fresh and the service went well beyond what I expected. Highly recommend Ruiz and shoutout to Rachel for top tier customer service. I can’t wait to eat here again!
