Usually come on Tuesday during lunch and order their chicken Alfredo pasta which is large enough for two people. I changed it up a bit and tried their lunch special, lasagne with a house salad. Super good and HOT! Much appreciated! You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, everything is really good!

This is my first time here and the food was delicious. We recently moved down here and a family member told us about this spot. The hostess didn’t have a smile on her face when we walked in but maybe she was having a bad day. The waitress was SUPER nice and friendly!!!! And the food was fresh and very well priced!! I will be going back for date night !!!!

1838 Grill is straight up AWESOME!
Truly Amazing service, very professional, attentive and happy staff. The BEST liver and onions I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Even the sides Mashed potatoes, green beans, the gravy, the rolls, even the tea all wonderful! Grandma would be proud of this place.
The prices are SUPER reasonable.
No beer or wine but trust me you’ll want to taste every bite of the food .
If you’re looking for your new favorite spot bring your friends and family, it doesn’t disappoint. It’s big and clean inside with plenty of parking. I just left and can’t wait to come back.

They charge the 3% for credit cards without informing the customer. While I was waiting for my to-go order I witnessed a waitress take a dirty spatula out of this disgusting container with a lot of other dirty utensils in it to cut and serve a piece of cake to someone. When I said something to the waitress about both issues I was informed “this is how we do things here”. If I could give it zero stars I would. 0/10. Will NEVER do business here again.

Liver and onions? Yes, please! It was perfectly cooked, and the fried okra was really good, too. The pork chops (not on the menu, but they do serve them) were very tender. We saw several people having the catfish and shrimp, so we’d try that If we went back. The service was great! We accidentally went in through the to-go entrance. Might be good to have more signage at the front entrance for new customers.

Nice attentive waitstaff, they take your dirty dishes pretty soon as you’re done with them. Quick food service as well. Really big portions on their desserts!

My wife and I had a couple good meals with some even better service. This place was pretty full and we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, popular place around 1 pm on a Sunday. Our server Sandy was fast and friendly. Wifey got chicken fried chicken with a side salad and fried okra. I enjoyed a chicken fried steak. My two sides were green beans and fried okra, tasty. Both meals were very good, the only star removing issue we had was the breading came off the protein when it was cut….that’s one of my criteria….the breading should stay on the for the most part.

Food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. It was my first visit and I am definitely going back to try the chicken fried steak. The mushroom Swiss was good. But the chicken sandwich (fried) was really good. I normally hit the Power Plant but I wanted to try this place. If you want a scenic view Power Plant is the place. All an all solid 4.5 stars. Good food for the value.

The grilled pork chops were moist and tasty and the sides were a perfect portion and like Mom would make. Tea glass always full and server was excellent!
Just wished there’d been room for the tasty dessert options!
