Food 5/5 – Ordered garlic ramen and sashimi. Sashimi was very high quality and fresh, as the texture was soft with no hints of being frozen. Garlic ramen was delicious and very full of garlic (fresh garlic, fried garlic, garlic oil). The broth was rich and savory with garlic, char siu was very soft, and the noodles had good texture.
Service 4/5 – Service is good, servers checked in to see how our food was, and did make a round to refill our drinks.
Ambiance 4/5 – Interior is cozy and Japanese themed, but sitting at the bar/counter in the center, you are bombarded with recommendations spanning the whole wall. There’s so many options to choose from, it is definitely a bit overwhelming deciding what to try. Sitting towards the kitchen side you are blasted by the wall AC, but we were fine with it.
Overall – I had a pleasant experience and will definitely to visit again to try other dishes on the menu.

What a little gem!!! My husband and I are from Kona but spending the weekend in Hilo and this will definitely be a return spot for us. It felt like we teleported right back to Japan! The ramen was divine, the service was lovely and handled so well despite the rush of people they had for lunch, and we honestly loved being able to order and pay from our phones — so quick and convenient! Will definitely be back.

Our second time here in 3 years, we ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ajitama Ramen and the Miso Kakuni Ramen. All in all the flavors were good and the service was fast. The miso was a bit saltier than we expected. The atmosphere and dining area is great and feels very Japanese. The shopping complex it is located in is a bit lacking though, so there’s not much to do outside of eating here.

Tried the vegan ramens, they only have two options. My husband and I tried the curry flavored ramen and we found it was way too spicy. It’s super flavorful but I think they put just too much curry powder/turmeric. Also, my bowl didn’t come with as much soup broth. My in-laws tried the other ramen which the server said was less spicy, they liked it. The tempeh based luncheon “meat” that comes with the broth had a nice outer crispy texture. I’m not vegetarian but loved the ramen enough that I would come again just for that! The cucumber avocado rolls was just OK for me. We loved the matcha warabi mochi!

Good service, welcoming, and quick. Decor is atypical for ramen shop meant to be enjoyed quickly. They also feature a sushi bar.
We found the ramen just mediocre in taste a bit crowded almost messy in presentation. I do appreciate the option of selecting the noodles to be firm, normal, or soft. I always loved a firmer cooked ramen but found it didn’t make much difference. The broth was lacking flavor and depth and combined with all the toppings it didn’t come together very well.
Nonetheless, cute spot lovely service just ramen wasn’t anything great.

Awesome ramen spot in Hilo with a cozy, authentic vibe that reminded me of Japan. Staff were super friendly, and even though there was a short wait (one of the few places open late), it was worth it. The Kakuni Tonkotsu Miso Ramen and Abura Soba were both fantastic — rich broth, tender pork belly, and perfectly firm noodles. The takoyaki was just okay, but the noodles really shine. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Hilo and craving great ramen.

This was a nice find for some food in Hilo. Fun and small atmosphere with good Ramen. It only took about 20 minutes for 5 of us to be seated and this place was busy. Ordering right on the table with an app and the wit staff brought hinge out as they were ordered and ready.

I do not eat ramen often, but on this particularly chilly and wet day in Hilo ramen was exactly what we wanted. We were seated promptly, scanned the menu, and ordered. Two of us ordered the Tantanmen Ramen and the other chose the Tonkotsu Fried Ramen. We enjoyed our meals in silence, which is often a sign of group enjoyment. The meals could have easily been taken home for leftovers, especially the fried ramen! The pricing here is reasonable when you take into account the price of most restaurants on the big island, the amount of food you get, and the great taste. We will be coming back and hope to see the sushi menu!

The BEST ramen I’ve had. Ever. Full stop.
What a delicious surprise. I would honestly eat here three times a week if I could. Honestly the best. Splurge and get all the add-ins you want. So worth it!

The ramen it’s amazing, eating there feels like being in Japan and it’s so cozy, so a warm ramen it’s perfect. It gets busy so if you don’t want to wait make a reservation but even if you wait it would worth it. Best restaurant on the island.
