Thanks once again for a delicious lunch. Every single thing was hot and tasty. My pully breasts were so juicy and tender and as always that sweet potato casserole is addictive. Ms. Charlotte was out front today with a big pretty smile, what a surprise. This is the spot right here. I drove twenty minutes for my lunch and it’s worth it!! Y’all get a A++++.

I’m a delivery driver. I haven’t had their food since I did business with them at the Evans location but I remember the chicken being really good. Today I got an order for them for a catfish meal. When I saw it I thought what will they be out of today? This because EVERY time I pick up here they’re out of something (which is really a pain for a driver cause you have to try and contact the customer and blah blah). So today after waiting she finally acknowledged me and told me we’re out of catfish and you’re the fourth driver that’s come for this. I took it up with my company but I am done with this place. Any future orders will declined. Have a nice day. Thanks for replying. IDK how all the menu stuff works. I’m just a delivery boy. But I’ve been doing 30 – 40 deliveries a week for several years at the various restaurants in the area and I will say an out of stock is pretty rare, maybe once or twice a month. I drive for Doordash on my days off from my actually job. I picked up from this location for the first time ever, and the employees at this store are SO DAMN RUDE. This is why I NEVER dash downtown, because all the restaurants are terrible and the employees suck, every single one. Ruins a good city like Augusta. What a shame.

Ordered twice from door dash and it was cancelled. There was plenty of time to fulfill our order but instead they cancelled it. Never ever ordering this again. Wife Saver has never cancelled my order. Guess I’ll go there.
Also just to clarify, I spoke to the DoorDash driver and she said she was at the restaurant. She cancelled the order only after she was told they were not going to fill the order because it came in 42 minutes before closing.

Jaz N was our waitress/ order taker. At 6:45 pm with a whole row of patient customer- she took the time to offer suggestions and even saved us a little money. The genius is in the back. If there was a James Beard award for fried chicken, it would go to the people who fry the chicken here. Locals know it. We know it. Worth every penny, every time!

This is a weird one because I really like their food truck and so I wanted to try the actual restaurant. I entered here at a non-peak time and only ordered some chicken tenders with cabbage and mac.
The food simply was not as good as the stuff from the food truck at Savannah River Site and the wait was a bit unsatisfactory. I would have expected staff to let me know there was going to be a long wait or what the issue was. My order was simple chicken tender combo so just blew my mind it took over half a hour to get my order.
Several others customers entered and were quickly served so I’m not sure what the issue was. The tenders were not as large as the food truck and the cabbage was bland and tasteless. What a shame but the whole experience soured me on the whole thing. The competition for chicken is fierce in the area so they need to do better.
On the plus side they seem very nice inside so maybe it was a off day. But you all should be more generous in portions, communicative, and not serve stale sides if there is a issue with them.

I got the catfish dinner.. it was more batter then fish plus it seemed to have been cooked in old oil. The potato salad was sweet. If you do receive. Mustard packs make sure they give you about 50 because it comes out in one pasty blob. The hush puppies were straight up disrespectful. The sweet tea was actually too sweet but it was the star of this wast of money.

This is the BEST fried chicken in Augusta GA! Let’s talk about it! Everything they serve down to the sweet tea is EXCELLENT! After getting my food I always go to the picnic tables by the marina and eat. Never any complaints except when they run out of honey!
