The floor was very dirty. A lot of food, dirt and paper on the floor where they sat our group of 6. Service was good. My salad was great my husband’s meal was very dry. He had chicken breast and alfredo.

Love this place! The staff is always super nice, and the cheap drinks are definitely worth the visit. Sometimes they’re a bit understaffed, but they still do a great job of getting the food out in a timely manner. One of the chefs (don’t know his name) is SUPER awesome! He came out of the kitchen to make sure that our steak was cooked to our liking. Thank you so much!

I am so disappointed. I loved coming here and the service and atmosphere were amazing. Staff were so welcoming. I especially want to give acknowledgment to Manager Tori. She was awesome with me and my family. I could tell she really cared for her employees, and that’s what I love about an employer. When I heard that Tori was self go, I was very sad. She really made this place so welcoming and an amazing atmosphere. I’m so disappointed in the GM or whoever let her go. Hope you guys can bring her back. Sadly I will not be giving my business to this Applebees no more.

Great experience! Having been to some of the finest spots our area has to offer and nearby Chicagos Fulton market – I have to say that while the food may seem standard faire the presentation of it and preparation was top notch! The service was prompt, friendly, and personable and we felt like we belonged there! Our experience was made even better by the management who came to check on our satisfaction and made sure we were having a great time, thank you especially to Sean for his attention to every detail and our happiness!

Absolutely unacceptable experience from start to finish. The Applebee’s on Ireland Road is a textbook example of how a restaurant falls apart when there is zero leadership or accountability. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this location is poorly managed and completely indifferent to customer satisfaction.
Service was painfully slow and chaotic, with staff appearing confused, disengaged, and unsupported. It felt like no one was in charge. Orders took forever, came out wrong, and when mistakes were pointed out, they were met with attitude instead of solutions. No apologies, no urgency—just excuses.
The food was just as bad as the service. Cold, sloppily prepared, and clearly sitting under heat lamps far too long. What should have been basic, consistent chain-restaurant food was borderline inedible. For the prices they’re charging, this level of quality is insulting.
The biggest issue is management. The general manager was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely uninterested in fixing anything. Instead of stepping up, management brushed off concerns and treated customers like they were the problem. That kind of behavior sets the tone for the entire staff, and it shows—this place is running on apathy.
This location feels neglected, mismanaged, and frankly not worth anyone’s time or money. If corporate has any standards left, they should take a hard look at how this restaurant is being run. Until there is a serious overhaul in leadership and customer service, I would strongly advise avoiding this Applebee’s altogether.

Came there after a Notre Dame Hockey game on 2/14 to get some appetizers and it started of great but declined from there the apps came out cold and my wife had to take my cup up to the bar to get a refill cause we saw our server every 20 min and then after she came and asked if we needed anything else and didn’t see her again then we asked some one else for our check then she came over with it then I laid my credit card on the table and amazingly she came right over and took that very quickly. I was disappointed at our time there

WORST PLACE EVER. Let’s start with #1 THE SERVICE- when seated I didn’t get my servers name when she approached NOR did I get a smile, ONCE. She didn’t ask how we were doing, she just “can I take your order” pretty much. She was handling th bear/tables and money all together I never seen her wash her hands either YUCK. Just poor service period. #2 the atmosphere, IT WAS DIRTY! There were so many empty tables but yet still dirty/ floors were sticky, menu pages stuck together. After waiting 20MINUTES for an appetizer (which came out COLD) not fresh at all, we decided to leave. The server wasn’t sympathetic at ALL! She in fact didn’t say ANYTHING! She just walked away, told the manager and then the manager didn’t even have anything to say. They let us walk out UNSATISFIED. DO NOT EAT HERE! THEYRE DIRTY THE SERVERS LOOK DIRTY and GREASY. It’s just not pleasant. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Oh to top it off, they apparently let customers they know do whatever they want; 1 customer was walking around recording others eating WHICH WAS SO RUDE, and the manager just sat, watched, and still talked to her.

we had a party of 5, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and over an hour for our food, after we received our food (except our mashed potatoes for shrimp that we ordered) we were never checked on again to order more drinks. our food came out cold and covered in hairs, will not be coming back to this location, atmosphere was disgusting & server seemed like she had no effort in providing good service.

This was a pretty bad experience overall but I want to start with the good things that happened and move from there to the bad.
The good: Wait wasn’t too bad on a Sunday afternoon, sauces and food was tasty, waitress was nice and had good sense of humor, when we were seated at a table that was very sticky, was moved promptly to one that was better (wasn’t sticky due to being dirty, just the varnish was coming off of it).
The Bad: The wait time for our waitress, food, alcohol, and regular drinks was very very long. Even while waiting to pay the bill and ask for boxes was incredibly long, the last bit of food we ordered wasn’t a flavor my fiance had ordered, I caught a heavily tattooed man behind the area where the top shelf alcohol is held standing, picking his nose and ears and eating it, the Bartender was talking with customers and employees instead of making our drinks (waited until after we got our food to get our alcohol and smoothie), and there was caked on old food on our plates when we were served new food, as well ad the cups had caked on stuff from previous contents. I would have said something while I was there but my fiance has social anxiety and ptsd and doesn’t like it when I ask people to fix issues while in store. Could not believe how gross this was and we couldn’t finish our last bit of food after finding out about the dirty plates and cups.
