Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This Whataburger location was incredibly disappointing. The food tasted old, almost as if it had been sitting out for far too long. Everything had that heavy, oily flavor that comes from using old or over-refried oil, and several items were served cold, which made the experience even worse. The overall quality was honestly unacceptable — the meal was unappetizing and, at moments, downright disgusting.
I truly hope this location reevaluates its food preparation standards, because the current state is far from what customers should expect from Whataburger.

Came here to get some milkshakes with some friends and the night staff was incredibly disrespectful as well as an attitude. We then ordered some French fries, it never came out and we had gone up to ask for them with receipt! They then thought it would be funny to bring us anything but the French fries and laughed in the back. At first we brushed it off but it kept on happening to the point where it was just straight up disrespect. When they FINALLY brought us the French fries and we said thank you not in a joking way by the way and they walked away without acknowledging us.

It’s normally pretty good put today around 1:40 a.m. I went in and got a number 20 breakfast burrito with bacon open it up so I can put some ketchup in it and noticed bacon is barely cook Pink as could be.

This place is becoming the SLOWEST worst Whataburger literally in the state. When one waits in the drive thru (you know the place people order from when they are IN A HURRY) and it takes 15 minutes for an order of Onion Rings and they still aren’t ready and your told to pull ahead and park. One if I wanted to pull ahead and park I WOULD HAVE COME INSIDE TO PLACE THE ORDER TO BEGIN WITH DUHHHH. Fast food this place is no longer, maybe I don’t know I should have called in my order yesterday to pick it up today? I can understand the wait for a large order or something that had to be specially made. But for an order of onion rings. Finally after waiting 15 minutes for my order and then being told to pull ahead into a parking space and wait even longer my patience had enough and I pulled ahead and literally across the street to another restaurant where I could actually get my food in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks Roanoke and Whataburger for showing me what it would look like if the DMV ran a supposedly “FAST FOOD” restaurant.

I’m giving one star because of the service! The girl who was running the drive through did not have good customer service skills she was very annoyed when we were ordering our food. She seemed like she did not want to be there. I wish corporations would stop hiring young kids who don’t have people skill!
I hope management is seeing this comment and something is done.

Food cold even though you wait for it to cook, not sure how that can be… Didn’t get any of the ketchup I asked for. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger but received no bacon. Cobb salad had bacon, but it was 1 strip literally about 2 inches long, so essentially no bacon as well. This is just my recent visit, don’t feel like explaining all the other lousy visits and what happened, this is just the latest one were I finally felt compelled to leave a review. Will update my review if things change, but my track record with this Whataburger overall has not been great so I don’t see my review changing any time soon as my negative experiences far outweigh any positive.

It should really called Wait-a-burger. Why pay for faster delivery service if they’re going to exceed the original wait time by 30 min. Original wait time was 30 min and now I have to wait an additional 30 min. So waiting an hour is acceptable?

I came through the drive through yesterday and told the young woman working the window that I wanted to use my rewards points for my meal. She acted confused, then said okay. Today I noticed my card was charged after she scanned the app, and the points weren’t deducted. There’s more added from yesterday’s purchase. These employees need better training.

Usually my go to when in the area and want something quick and easy. Staff Usually quick and can get orders correct at this location. At a recent stop they disappointed. How can you forget to put the meat in the burger? One bite in I’m thinking there is something off in the taste. Second bite to try to determine what it could be. Open the burger to confirm. No meat. Lol.

Don’t waste your time. Ridiculously long wait. I was the only car in the drive through yet they made me pul to the front and wait. 15 minutes later I left without the sandwich I ordered. Had to go back to work. Insanity,
