Sortino’s Italian Kitchen is a new age red sauce restaurant where old-school Italian cuisine meets the modern age. Sortino’s brings to Round Rock a tradition of hospitality established by Giorgio and Giacomo Sortino more than 60 years ago when they opened the original Sortino’s Little Italy. Diners enjoy a wide range of Italian menu items, including pasta, brick oven pizza and baked entrees.

To begin with, our reservation was for 7 pm, and almost 15 minutes later they finally understood that we had been waiting for quite some time. It’s a total mess; the people who greet you can’t understand each other. When we finally got to the table, we were met with the wonderful news that all the prices on the online menu are inaccurate. Starting with the fact that they don’t even serve bread—three tables were complaining about the same thing—you have to order bread separately. And you’ll see in the photos that we commented on how it was possible for an Italian restaurant to have no bread on the table. The manager came and sent us this stale, hard bread. I’m writing this review at 8:45 pm, and the waiter is still telling us that our food is coming soon, even after we told him three times that we wanted to cancel. On top of this, I ordered drinks for my wife and me, and the waiter still hasn’t even offered us anything else to drink. In short, a truly overrated place, with more reputation than reality. If you want my advice, don’t go near it. Unless you’re prepared to wait a long time and spend over $35 for pasta that I promise you is pointless, and don’t forget to check the menu—each pasta dish doesn’t come with any protein, it costs extra—the only person who seemed to understand was the manager. She empathized with us since we had to call her to cancel the food that never arrived, and she finally let us leave. (I should mention the ravioli, 3 for $12 on the kids’ menu.)

AMAZING!! I’m very impressed with the service, we were attended with an excellent service by Waleed, who immediately started taking care of us, specially when we mentioned about my garlic allergy. Thank you so much! Waleed is a great photographer also. He took very nice pictures of us with my cellphone.
The Chef! CJ. OMG! He’s a Real 100% amazing Chef! He came to our table to make sure I could have the best option for me. He prepared the best pasta I’ve ever tried, and I feel so special because he made a fresh sauce just for me without garlic.

Waleed was the BEST!! Made our anniversary dinner absolutely perfect with his suggestions and kindness. The food was amazing, I got the shrimp scampi and my husband got the Pasta Mafia. The shrimp and steak were perfectly cooked, the cheese garlic bread we got as an appetizer was beyond amazing. Waleed also let us know that everything was made fresh in house, and it definitely shows!!!! Come here for ALL of your events! Every one on the staff is so nice and attentive, and we will be asking for Waleed every time we come in!

Absolutely outstanding! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was very attentive by Waleed . The food was truly beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it was made with care and passion. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich, flavorful sauces, everything was spot-on. This is hands-down one of the best Italian dining experiences we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing Italian food!

Eight here with a rather large party as we prepped for a volleyball tournament. RJ was our server and he did a fantastic job of accommodating 3 to 4 families and various seat switching and table moving. Great service and the food was pretty good too. I had the pizza All the meats you know it and it was actually a pretty decent pizza around $19 for that pizza a little bit high but not too bad. The child of mine though chose to have spaghetti and meatballs in the child size. It was the perfect amount for her top it off with two beers and the total cameto $75
