The service and staff were very friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious and portions were good size. Was very impressed with the ribs. Loved how they have an assortment of sauces at the table. The service was quick. Would definitely go there again.

This place was not great. Good trading meat but the salad bar was almost empty and the place was not incredibly clean. Too much meat for me with the unlimited pork special. Lesson learned there. Much better food and ambiance at other barbecue places.

Service was excellent. If you saw a negative review on here from me, it was a Google glitch , as that was taken directly from my review of a restaurant in Hickory. I don’t know how it happened. I highly recommend Sonny’s.

Our table was 4 adults & 2 toddlers. I have not eaten at a Sonny’s BBQ location in a number of years & always remembered it as great BBQ, not this visit … far from a good experience! The server was very pleasant, but ALL of the food arrived room temperature or almost cold… for real! The only thing that was hot was the fried okra. The fries were cold literally, the brisket almost cold, the aluminum foiled sweet potatoes were only slightly warm, etc. The server was embarrassed and the manager did come to the table, apologized and did remake all the plates. And only for this reason only I gave 2 stars, because a restaurant’s willingness to recover their bad mistakes & sincerity is important. The unfortunate thing is now we had to wait again for our food and to be honest, the new serving was all warm, but none of it hot. The brisket was tasty, but the rest is not memorable, not outstanding. Very disappointed and probably won’t visit again.

Love Sonny’s ribs. Me and my buddy went there and we had this super kind and sweet waitress who worked hard and fast. Ribs was cooked in a timely manner for the all you can eat ribs. The waitress kept them coming so we never ran out. Wonderful experience, price was absolutly worth the quality.

We went to this location many years ago and it was horrible. We had not been back until today. Well they have changed their menu and their food is good! The Redneck egg rolls are really good. They sound different but good. The smoked wings are really good. They give you a lot of food too. Our server name Taylor was excellent. We didn’t want for anything because she got it for us. So they have redeemed themselves. We will go back.

We ordered take out and got two of the 2 meat platters. In the past we were able to actually pick the 2 meats and I wanted brisket and pulled pork and my wife wanted brisket and pulled chicken. However this day when my wife called she was told that bone in chicken had to be one of the 2 choices. We agreed because we’re so used to anything we get from Sonny’s being delicious. When I got home, the brisket amount in my order was tiny. There wasn’t even enough to amount to a small serving size. The chicken in both orders was too dry to eat, and actually felt like jerky after being pried off the bone. Good thing there was a regular sized amount of pulled pork because that and the tiny amount of brisket is what we shared for dinner. The chicken was worthless and just got tossed. We have always loved Sonny’s and have been there many times so that’s the only reason they got 3 stars instead of 2, but this time was a total let down.
