With ole’ skool tunes playing and crabs cracking, mimosas flowing during Sunday brunches, our hotspot makes their mark in the communities we serve. Cajun has a Louisiana-inspired menu that is built around shared dishes, culinary treats, and bar favorites that force you to use your bare hands and savor our sauces (it’s all about the sauce!). I ordered the Holla Bag Pick Three on Uber Eats with two orders of green lip mussels and blue crab. My total was $66.25. I added fried sausages, and I will say they did not play around with the quantity — it was plentiful. The bag also came with corn and a few large red potatoes (about two potatoes worth), but Uber Eats doesn’t list that anywhere, so the menu definitely needs to be updated.
The blue crab was cooked to perfection. You could tell it was properly steamed and filled with meat. However, the green lip mussels were overcooked. Since they’re already naturally meaty, they needed a much lighter steam. They also weren’t scrubbed as clean as they should’ve been, so it felt like the mussels didn’t get the same level of care as the blue crab.
I ordered the hot spicy sauce with the house mix seasoning, and while the flavor itself was unfathomably good, it was too salty. The seasoning wasn’t dispersed evenly — it was caked onto the mussels like someone was a little heavy-handed. Flavor-wise, though, this might be the best seafood boil I’ve had in Chicago. They just need to go lighter on the seasoning, because the sauce already had enough richness without piling extra salt on top.
I would rate this higher if the seasoning was adjusted, because I can definitely see the potential. I plan to try them in person and tell them exactly how I want my food made — if it comes out less salty, this place could easily be a top spot for me.
Prices in-store are more reasonable compared to Uber Eats (about a $3 difference), and honestly that’s why a lot of Uber drivers end up not getting tipped.

I went to this location and the wait time from being seated to a server coming to the table was around 15 minutes. When she came, she said she would be right with us. No drinks ordered, appetizers, nothing. I also observed a document that’s posted all over the facility about a mandatory 18% gratuity which is convenient seeing the service was unacceptable. She finally came to take out orders including drinks after about 30 minutes. Once she took the order, it didn’t even go right in because she had to take orders from other tables. Apparently, she had to make drinks too. This is not her fault, there seems to be an operational issue. I had a similar experience at the Oak Brook location. Ultimately, we canceled the ticket and left. I told the manager about my experience on my way out. There were patrons that left after we left because they were having the same experience. I’d like to speak to someone above restaurant level in regard to my experience.

I dined at this restaurant on 2/13/2026 and observed cockroaches in the dining area while I was eating. This raised serious health and sanitation concerns. I brought it to management’s attention and was offered a partial discount.
Due to what I experienced, I contacted the local health department to report the issue.
Afterward, I received a phone call from someone identifying herself as attorney Angella Bassin, who stated that I was attempting to extort the business. I made it clear that I was not seeking extortion, only reporting a health concern. The call felt unnecessary and intimidating.
I hope the restaurant addresses these sanitation issues appropriately.

Sat at the bar and ordered the boil bag. The food was delicious. Met new friends at the bar and had great conversations. Can’t wait to go back

The atmosphere is very loud, music is not family oriented and geared more towards 20-30’s generation but did hear a couple old school songs. Our server was attentive and nice. Food was good also.

Definitely not what we expected. The food was good, the service was good! Our first time here and the atmosphere wasn’t what we expected. We took our kids and probably wouldn’t had we known the explicit music that was playing, and it was loud. But we wanted “seafood boil” and it was late on a Sunday.
Fine if you’re a group of teens or adults, and you like explicit current music. Wasn’t that bad, not my preference. But the food was good, I would probably go again, not sure if I’d bring my preteen and teenage boys again, even though they both liked the food.

The food was the good but my order was wrong and my server Bri rectified the situation and got me a new order. Also, my drinks were so good shout out to Re on the drinks! Restaurant was a vibe with good music.

My wife and I came to this place to get a seafood boil. Was the first time at this establishment so we each got the pick for 2. About 15-20 minutes later the food is brought to the table and we start eating. Not even 5 minutes into the meal my wife says “I’m going to throw up” and starts panicking. I asked her if there was something wrong with the food, but what she showed me made me lose my appetite. There was a COCKROACH in her seafood boil. We immediately called for the waitress nearby to let her know about the situation. She took the plate and left to the kitchen. My wife went to the bathroom to throw up. Once she was back no one came to check up on her to ask if she was okay, or needed anything. Minutes later our waitress walks to the table behind us like nothing happened and I had to call her over to let her know I was ready to go. Made it perfectly clear I was NOT paying for the food but would pay for the drinks if I had to. She then says “I have to get my manager”. Which I understand, but would’ve expected for the manager to already be aware of the situation. About 10 minutes go by and no one has come to the table, just the cooks who passed by the hallway to inspect who got the cockroach in their food. Finally, a man in casual clothes comes up to us and asked if we were the table who got the “bug” in our food. Said he was the manager and was sorry about the incident. Told us that we didn’t have to pay for anything and continued with “it’s something that happens”. Anything that came after that sentence is irrelevant. As a person who works in the food industry I was blown away to what their reaction was to this whole incident. Everyone seemed layback and so casual about it. I’m a server myself so I’d be more understanding if there might be a cockroach that came from outside, but one being in your food is completely unacceptable. Not only is this a serious sign of contamination and a health risk. Cockroaches can spread bacteria and pathogens like Salmonella and E. coli. My wife spent all night throwing up. Best believe the health department will be looking into this.

I visited Cajun Boil Oak Park on Saturday 11/25/25 with my two sister’s. It was an experience for us all, as we had never had the Cajun sea food boil out side of the boils we have made at home. I ordered medium bogo bag which contain 1 lb of shrimp and 1 lb of snow crab legs my add on items were the sausage, potatoes and broccoli. One of my sister’s ordered the large bogo bag which contained 1 lb of king crab legs and a 1 lb of shrimp her add on items were potatoes, sausage, eggs and the noodles. Everything was delicious ans well seasoned we opted for the garlic butter seasoning. The drinks were exceptional we ordered the Pantie Dropper and the Old Fashion. Cajun didn’t hold back on the liquor they were very generous. Our server was DJ she was pleasant, efficient, and very knowledgeable about the menu as well as helpful in helping us to navigate it and placing our order. The atmosphere was inviting and friendly. I would also like to add that the GM, DJ our server and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I will visit again.

I ordered the seafood boil. The shrimp and mussels appeared fresh but the crab legs were old and I didn’t enjoy the food as it was way over seasoned. Everything tasted the same the seasoning was so overpowering. This was takeout or I would have sent it back. Very disappointing.
