Finally got to dine here and we loved it! The food was delicious and the portions were filling. We enjoyed breakfast for dinner. Blueberry pancakes, Belgian waffle with sides of eggs and turkey sausage! All delicious! And for good measure we split a grilled cheese plate, ahhh reminded me of home, next time I’ll have some tomato soup with it. You won’t be disappointed! Definitely dining here again. Great customer service as well

The food was great, and Andy was an amazing server. My steak was cooked a little less than I wanted, and Andy went out of his way to make sure that my steak was cooked to perfection after that, and checked up to see if I needed anything while I was waiting for it to be cooked a little more. I also had dietary restrictions that he made sure were all accommodated. Will definitely come back!

Showed up and were greeted by the lovely Olivia and crew. The place is clean, adorable, and bright, with a huge menu. They were very accommodating. The prices are great and so are the booths. I wish all the very best to Olivia and the staff of this great find on the way back north home to NYC.”

Fishtown Diner is a gem. The atmosphere is super chill and the food is classic and delicious. But what really made my visit special was my server Liv. She was so friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. Liv’s great service definitely made my meal even better. I was there at around 8pm Highly recommend checking this place out!

Fishtown Diner Review
Google Maps leads you right to the front door. Street parking is available (when you can find it), or you can use a nearby shopping plaza a few blocks away and then walk a short distance to the diner. Upon entering, we were greeted by smiling faces, a warm dose of Philadelphia nostalgia, and murals gracing nearly every wall. We were seated in front of a mural featuring the Liberty Bell, a subway train car, a Fishtown bus, the Love Statue, and of course my favorite, the Rocky statue with the art museum in the background. Behind the register, another mural pays homage to local sports legends: the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, and Phillies, celebrating the city’s rich heritage. The diner offers a mix of tables, booths, and counter seating, while the menu boasts plenty of choices at reasonable prices. We arrived at 11:30 AM, and the atmosphere really picks up around noon, so I recommend getting there before 12 if you can.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I enjoyed this experience with my wife and kiddo. My kiddo ordered the cookies and cream milkshake, which was rich and creamy, and he also tried the boston crème short stack pancakes. Although the portion was so large he couldn’t finish them, so come hungry! My wife, who has a gluten allergy, opted for the salmon and grits served with a fruit cup instead of bread. The salmon was cooked to perfection without tasting frozen or dried out, and its flavor was spot on. As for me, I went with the Fishtown omelet, accompanied by home fries and rye toast. When the server asked if I wanted peppers and onions with the home fries, I couldn’t resist when in Rome, right? Overall, the food was fantastic and the dining experience was truly memorable. Shout out to our server, Kat, you were awesome!

Awesome food and service! I’ve been coming here for years. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size you get. It’s the kind of place you can come to for a casual breakfast, a hearty lunch, or just coffee and pie and leave satisfied every time.
Definitely a go to spot if you appreciate good comfort food and great service.

Food was ok but the service 100% sucked! There was mistakes with our food it was either fixed or refunded. We were a large crowd and yes that can be tricky but her attitude sucked from the time she came to our table to the time we left. She was complaining around my sister in law to another waitress its not her fault that the food comes out of the kitchen wrong blah blah. No it wasnt the food that was the problem it was your attitude. Never asked for refills. Can’t deal with large groups then dont chose to work with them.

Fishtown Diner is one of those spots that just gets it. Classic diner food done right hot, fresh, and clearly made with care. Breakfast was on point: flavorful, filling, and exactly what you want when you’re craving comfort without disappointment.
Service was quick and smooth even for takeout, which I always appreciate. Everything was packed well, nothing sloppy, nothing missing (a rare win these days). The vibe feels welcoming and nostalgic the kind of place that’s been holding the neighborhood down for years, and for good reason.
If you want reliable, feel-good breakfast that actually hits every time, this is it. No frills, just solid food and good energy. I’ll definitely be back.
