I’m extremely disappointed with this order. The French toast arrived raw, the sausage links were undercooked, and the home fries were so hard they were impossible to eat. To make matters worse, the French toast was missing toppings and no syrup was included at all.

We were called out of state at the last minute, and to save time packing, I ordered breakfast instead of cooking. That decision turned out to be a big mistake. Not only did I spend around $60 including tip on food that was mostly inedible, but I also didn’t have time to remake breakfast because it wasn’t properly cooked in the first place. We ended up having to stop and buy more food on the road just so we could leave on time for a long trip.

This experience was bad from start to finish, which is especially disappointing because Bob Evans has always been my go-to for family breakfast meals. I order these 2–3 times a month because they’re usually reliable, affordable for a group, and offer something for everyone without paying per-plate prices.

Sadly, this order has me looking for a replacement for what used to be a dependable favorite. It’s disappointing because the menu always reminded me of family brunches growing up—comforting, family-style breakfast food done right. Unfortunately, that’s not what we received this time.

I ordered a meal over the phone for pick up this evening but the meal I received was a jumbled mess. I ordered a wildfire chicken salad with grilled chicken and the wildfire ranch with a family size chicken noodle soup. I picked up my order to find a house side salad, no rolls, small grilled chicken and wildfire ranch on the side, and the appropriate soup. Don’t forget the random side of butter for the rolls I don’t have. I don’t know how they managed to mess it up that badly. I’ve always loved Bob Evans but will definitely not be returning to this location. Added picture of salad for reference the lettuce was slimy, brown and inedible

When we visit Ohio, we usually visit Bob Evans. We love their breakfasts and I love their sausage links. We came on very busy late Sunday morning visit for our family of eleven. They also had a huge party of 30 ahead of us. Even with the large groups, they handled the high influx of customers very well. We did not have to wait very long for our table and order. Excellent waitress, breakfasts and overall service.

The lunch was not very good. I ordered 1/2 sandwich and soup. The bread was toasted so hard it cut my mouth. The rolls were not fresh, they were hard, dry, and flaky. The chicken noodle soup lacked flavor. I was so disappointed in this lunch.

There’s something missing with this location possibly or with the branch itself. Looks like a new manager has taken over as of November 2025 when I was there, but my server was of elderly woman that seemed very upset to be there. Couldn’t hear the orders, never gave us forks, forgot to bring drinks, it was a pretty gnarly disaster overall, and if you have growing boys that are eating everything in sight just know that the pancakes on the kids menu are only about 2 in in diameter. the morning coffee needs some work. Maybe an extra pouch of grounds or slower brew time. It’s wasn’t good

Mad as fire just picked up my food.Haven’t even ate a bite yet… Supposed to have 2 pieces of banana nut bread. Oh my god one and it is super tiny … ordered a piece of turtle cheesecake and it’s the smallest slice of cheesecake.I’ve ever seen in my life… my son got loaded hash browns with his steak tips meal and they were not loaded…
I have ordered from bob evans multiple times and never had an experience like this

This location has a history of both locking their doors early – usually a half an hour before the posted time on the door, as well as also closing over half of their dining space down very early on in the day, and so forcing potential customers who wish to dine in, to have to all be crowded into the much smaller space over on the left hand side of the restaurant. This is so rude, and disrespectful – Customer’s should be allowed to sit where they’re comfortable, as well as knowing that if they arrive half an hour before closing, that the doors won’t be locked.

For those two reasons above, I quit eating there almost two years ago. Everytime I tried to dine there – I was forced to leave, and go eat somewhere else.

Then by chance, at another location, a couple of months ago, I met the district boss for Bob Evans. He asked me if he could talk to me about my dining experiences at Bob Evans in recent times, and so I told him in detail about the problem with the University Shoppes, Col.Glenn Highway location.

He apologized, and said he would look into it. I thought that meant he WOULD LOOK INTO IT.

Apparently he did not.

Just last night (December 19th), at 7pm I decided to eat at the University Shoppes location of Bob Evans.

When I arrived, there were two groups of College students that had just arrived before I did, and I knew the much smaller section over on the left was going to be noisy, and crowded, so I requested a seat over on right hand side of the restaurant.
I asked for a nice quiet table.

The waitress refused. I wasn’t surprised – I knew this was going to happen.

I wasn’t surprised when the waitress refused, but I was still upset. I’d been up all night working the previous evening, and had been running errands throughout the following afternoon, and I was tired. All I wanted was a quiet dinner before I went home, but the waitress denied me my opportunity to do so.

She tried to herd me over to the much smaller left side – where all the College kids were, and I pleaded with her to please let me sit over on the right, but she refused again. I didn’t wish to argue, and cause a scene – so I was forced to leave.

As I stated already – this Bob Evans has a recent history of this behavior.

All other Bob Evans locations I’ve dined at, have always let me sit where I have requested, as well as not locking their doors until right before the posted closing time, but this location continues to be run under a Manager who clearly wants it their way, and not the way that all other locations practice, which is the more honorable way – NOT TO TURN AWAY PAYING CUSTOMER’S.

I was previously assured by the district boss on our chance meeting, that he would look into this, and put a stop to it, but absolutely nothing has changed.

I will never again waste my time with this location.

Just last night I visited this location. The Waitress was very disrespectful. I dined alone. She wouldn’t for some reason make any eye contact at all with me when she served me – it was really odd. I didn’t sense it was because she suffered from any kind of insecurity with herself, it just felt more that she didn’t like me. She never once the whole time she spoke to me, actually look at me. It made me feel very uncomfortable myself. I shouldn’t be made to feel uncomfortable, as I’m a paying guest, and should be treated with respect, and not like I’m some unwanted, uninvited dinner guest who just showed up! Also, the waitress only checked on me one time after I ordered, and they weren’t even busy! And to add further insult to injury, when she did check on me, she also presented me with my bill! She never asked me if I wanted anything else – it was if she just wanted me out of there as soon as possible. I did eat, and leave as soon as possible, as I felt very uncomfortable. I’ve never had a waitress at any establishment ever do this to me before in my life. Anyway, I WON’T BE BACK.

Food has declined in the last year. Our food last night was verily warm. My friend’s Chicken fried steak looked like it sat for awhile. Gravey was a big glob from the last of the pan. Probably wouldn’t be back. Use to go weekly. Do have the choices they use to have.
