I recently visited Fox Burger with high expectations, hoping to experience a great burger, but unfortunately, the experience left me feeling underwhelmed. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. In fact, I couldn’t help but draw comparisons to McDonald’s, and not in a flattering way.

To start with, the burger itself was a major disappointment. When I took the first bite, I was struck by how similar it tasted to a McDonald’s burger. Now, I’m not saying that McDonald’s burgers are inherently bad—they have their place when you’re in the mood for something quick and easy—but when you’re paying a premium for a gourmet burger, you expect more. The patty had the same bland, overly processed flavor that you would find at a fast food chain, and the bun, while soft, lacked any distinctive flavor or texture. It felt like a fast-food burger with a slightly better presentation.

The toppings, which were meant to elevate the burger, also fell short. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, but the overall combination didn’t offer anything unique. If you’re looking for an exciting or inventive burger, this isn’t it. Instead, it felt like a burger you could get at a chain restaurant, but with a slightly pricier tag.

Now, let’s talk about the fries. I had heard great things about them and was looking forward to some crispy, golden fries to accompany my meal. But once again, I was disappointed. The fries were limp and lacking that crispy crunch that makes a good fry memorable. Frankly, I found myself thinking that McDonald’s fries are far superior. Their fries have that perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside that is hard to beat, and sadly, Fox Burger didn’t even come close to that standard.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine, though. It had a casual vibe with comfortable seating, and the decor was charming. If you’re just looking for a place to grab a quick bite with friends or family, this might be a good option. But if you’re craving a top-tier burger or a more unique dining experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

First time trying this burger place and I have to say…… Amazing ! The service was perfect and the food was simply incredible. Tried the Inferno Smash Burger along with the garlic fries and fried green tomatoes. Food was cooked perfectly ! I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for something out of the normal. Well done Fox Burgers !!

Excellent vibe!
Amazing food!!! Cannot wait to come back again! Definitely recommend and worth a stop at this location! There is an epic liquor shop next door as well as an artsy boutique on the other side. Beauty neighbourhood.

A group of friends chose Fox Burger as an excellent place for a meet up! We had a large table on the rooftop patio, which had a great view and was a lovely place to view the evening sky and it’s parade of colours. It was also peaceful, quiet and easy to hear each other speak.

The staff was amazing, attentive, and helpful, they really took good care of us (we were around 10 people).

Every meal I’ve tried her has been tasty and fun to eat. This visit I had the cheese burger and I loved it.

The dining space has limited seating, so I highly recommend making a reservation. We had no wait as we had a reservation and also they were ready for us before we arrived.

If you haven’t tried Fox Burger yet you are missing out.

Visited fox burger after being recommended by a friend after our debate of “who has the best burger in Edmonton”.

Food came quick! I had the animal style double burger with garlic fries while my bf had the fox cheeseburger. I would rate the burgers 8.5/10 they were very good but were just missing something I can’t quite put my finger on. My number 1 is currently flatboys (shiddys). I would rank this #2 as a tie with five guys.

I will say also we came in at 810PM (I called ahead of time to ensure if we came by 815 that they would still serve us and was told yes if we ordered by 845) and the server seemed to be irritated as they closed at 9. She gave us the vibe the entire time she didn’t want us to be there by her attitude or was unhappy about something and didn’t thank on an 18% tip.

The service alone would make me consider going elsewhere next time.

Having driven by many times and seeing line ups we made reservations for a Saturday lunch. We were quickly seated in the main level dining room. Bright and airy atmosphere with attentive service. We started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip. Tasty and a perfect small starter. Next came the burgers. The Inferno Smash with a side of Thai Cabbage Salad, The Highlands Green with a side of Animal Fries and finally the American Cheeseburger with Bacon and a side of garlic fries. The servings are large! The burgers were probably some of the best in the city. Smashed patties provided the crispy and flavorful meat that makes the burger. The fries were crisp and plentiful. The Thai Salad quickly disappeared. If you are looking for a great burger and have an appetite this is the place. We will be back!

This place is fantastic! Spectacular food, great service and cozy atmosphere. I’m a big fan!! Seating can be challenging, so you might want to call ahead for a reservation. But… make that call! It’s worth it, but bring your appetite – the portions won’t leave you hungry.

WOW!!! We randomly decided to go to lunch at this amazing restaurant and we’re so blown away by it! Firstly, I think they have one of the best roof top patios in Edmonton (we were not even looking for a patio). Secondly the outstandingly service and last but not least the DELICIOUS food!!

Overall I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, I believe it’s local to Edmonton and they have stuck to the local roots. We will definitely be back, albeit in the evening when we can have a few beers! Great work by management and all the staff

On a cold late December Sunday afternoon, codiner and I decide to get a hearty meal. We chose FB, having driven past it for years. We went (without reservations), but were immediately seated. The space is clean and basic, with around 40 seats (including at the bar) Our server arrived promptly, explained the menu in detail, and gave us sufficient time to determine our meal items. We went for the Fox Cheesburger, Mushroom Swiss, a side of Plain Fries, a side of Garlic Fries, plus two on tap beers. The burgers were delicious and filling, the side portions were also generous, and the beers were cold and refreshing. Our only qualms were the preference for the larger handcut Russett fries offered by some competitors. Prices were reasonable given the quantity of food provided (we barely finished it all). There is plentiful free on-street parking, nearby, but read the signs carefully re. potential restrictions. We can’t wait for warm weather, we will be trying the rooftop patio.

We did not order any food. This order was delivered to my door this afternoon. Feel so bad for the customer and the restaurant who are suffering from delivery drivers that do not care if they deliver the order to the wrong address. This simply proves that not all jobs are for everyone…. Like, if you don’t like your job then find something else that you like to do… and if you can’t find the address of the customer, I believe that’s why we all have cellphones to utilize it to help us to our job better. I hope this customer got what he paid for atleast. Happy Holidays everyone and stay safe always!
