I have been here multiple times and expected a good experience. However, this was the worst experience I’ve had and I will not be going back. We waited a while before someone served us. When I asked for chips and salsa (the first basket is complimentary), I was met with an attitude. We couldn’t tell who our server was as different people got our drinks, took our order, and brought our food. Not once did anyone ask how we were doing once we got our food. I had to get up and go to the front to ask for the check and for a box. It was very disappointing and not deserving of a tip. I’m not the type to not tip, but this time, I for sure didn’t want to. I wouldn’t even know who to tip as we basically didn’t even have a server. The food has always been great, but service has gone down a lot, and it ruins the whole experience/vibe. The younger girls up front are awesome and nice. They were the only positives of the experience. However, they were more of hosts than servers.

Will not go back because of today’s experience. We placed an order for chicken ahead of time by calling in. When we got there, we ordered drinks. The coffee smelled and tasted burnt. Requested for a fresh cup of coffee, the same coffee was brought out, just reheated. We heard staff arguing about chicken orders. It looked like another customer that came in AFTER us also ordered chicken but received it right away. Other customers that came in after us received their food. About 45mins into waiting, we were told that 2 of the orders were ready but they were waiting on 1 more chicken order. Meanwhile, the customer who ordered her chicken AFTER us was already eating her meal. We left after an hour of waiting for food. We called ahead of time knowing that chicken takes longer to cook. Will not be back because of the prices and service.

Portions have shrunk here. Still the same quality of food. Just a bit less of it. Prices have been adjusted just like everywhere else. But the atmosphere has not changed. It’s still a great Mexican restaurant. Just don’t plan on going home with leftovers.

I grew up here in Gallup New Mexico in my younger years. This restaurant here was my mother’s favorite place to eat. Rip mom anyway, she would always bring me here to have lunch or dinner so, I decided to travel from Phoenix Az all the way to Gallup New Mexico w my wife and sissy to eat here and enjoy some Authentic Mexican Food. It was my wife’s first time coming to Gallup.. we all ordered the green chile stuffed sopapillas and a side of sopapillas to enjoy w some honey. Wifey loved it and sissy and I did as well. It was worth the trip. If any of you want to try some real Mexican food w some real New Mexico hatch green Chile then this is the town and this would be the restaurant.. our dishes were huge.. I mean we didn’t even make it half way through our sopapillas and we had to get To-Go boxes haha… delicious thank you for such wonderful service and the best food we’ve had in a really long time. We love you Gallup New Mexico!!! Bomb Mexican food always #1

The staff was nice and gracious in serving us even though we were arriving 1 hour before closing. The food quality and taste was not good. Them allowing people to walk up to customers trying to eat and solicit us to buy jewelry is another negative of this business.

Overpriced bad food! Pics good but food was bland, guacamole was slightly brown, only got blue corn tortillas with diced green chiles & cheese. Beans spicy/dry & mushy sticky rice. Waitress was nice.

Please when you eat there LOOK at your tickets they have a tendancy to give other tickets to you and add anthing on there like automatic tip even when their service isnt worth their tip. They are very disrespectful!!!
