I missed food from my home country, so I visited Pho York. Came here twice and was disappointed both times.
The first visit, I ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, but it came as a dripping coffee instead. It was alright, so I didn’t complain. I also wanted “Hot and spicy beef brisket”, but it wasn’t available – the staff said I would need to wait at least a few hours …
On my second visit, my order came with the wrong noodles (bún noodles instead of pho noodles). But the spring rolls were tasty, staff were nice!
Overall, the flavours were not close to authentic Vietnamese food. I don’t plan to visit this franchise again.

The food here is so simple, but so good! If you are gluten free or celiac, rejoice!! They are extremely considerate of gluten allergies and there are only 2 dishes on the entire menu that contain gluten. The ENTIRE dessert menu is GF!!! Not to mention delicious 🙂

Myself and my bestfriend have been tonight (4/02/26)for a birthday dinner. The food was 10/10 as always, we were served by a great guy, (Lesley I believe… I was told when I asked someone else as the person who served us went into the kitchen) sorry if I got that wrong!! we were there around 6:30 ish. Whoever it was he was amazing 10/10 service ☺️ will defo be back, and hopefully to be served by him again

We had travelled to York from Norwich to celebrate my birthday. Arriving fairly late in day we set out to find somewhere to eat dinner and came by Pho. My partner is vegan, so we had quick check of menu outside before deciding to give the place a go.
We were welcomed and seated very quickly, the restaurant was fairly busy for a Thursday night but we took encouragement from this.
Our Waiter/host, Charlie, was fantastic. He was Polite, helpful and chatty, offered sound advise on food choices and drinks and even gave me a beer on the house for it being my birthday. A real star and a credit to the restaurant.
Then the food, wow just amazing! I had fish spring rolls to start which were incredible. The Mrs had vegan summer rolls and was completely blown away.
The following mains and desserts didn’t fail to impress and I can safely say one of the best birthday meals I’ve had in a very long time.
Just want to thank all involved, especially Charlie, for a brilliant evening.
We’re only here for couple of days so have so many places to try, but if we return to York again we will definitely return for another meal at Pho.

This was our first time at Pho. We ordered the Pho House and it was absolutely delicious. Our server was Sam who was very friendly and helpful, giving us plenty of details about our meal and our service was incredibly quick. A really great meal!

I ordered Pho House. Everything is perfect, unfortunately the beef was a bit chewy. Don’t know if the chef a Vietnamese or ? Look at other people dishes, all look very tasty. Definitely can come and try

Had a takeaway from here & was pretty disappointed. Had two Pho soups (1 veggie & 1 chicken). The picture is the chicken with no soup, what was in the picture was the extent of the liquid. We ordered this as we are just home from 5 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia & loved the food. This was such a far cry from any of the flavours we’ve had during this time. Bland & unappetizing. Love this chain! Gets busy, I recommend booking. Food is amazing, service is good, knowledge & accomodation of allergens is great. Majority of the menu is GF which is such a relief for coeliacs. Wish this chain was in Australia

I went here solo and was a bit worried at first, as the dining room looked crowded during the lunch hour. However, the restaurant is a lot larger than it looks and there is plenty of seating inside and out on the back patio.
I had the brisket and mushroom pho with the ca phe coffee with condensed milk, both were delicious and perfect for a chilly day. The service was friendly and accommodating. They had an optional 12.5% service charge added on the bill, but they gave you a chance to look it over and let them know if you wanted it removed.
Overall I had a great experience here. I recommend if they need something warm and comforting on a cold day.

Nice Vietnamese food, we had the chicken curry with rice, which was very flavourful. Good portions too. The spring rolls were average and a bit too oily.
