Having a horrible experience at Max Tavern. Hostess did not greet, questioned whether we had a reservation and if we understood it is Prix Fixe. Told us we could have a booth then said “no”,set us at a table for six (we are a table for 2) that was meant for the family of 5 who were then sat with us. Note it is 5:25 and there are few here but we are now part of a young family inches away from us.

We picked up the BBQ box last night from MAX A MIA and it was absolutely the best. I’ve purchased similar deals from local “smoke houses” and this BBQ was far better. The absolute best brisket I’ve had in CT.the reheating directions were spot on. Kudos to the person who came up with this and hope that maybe this was a precursor to a new Max BBQ restaurant
