Great atmosphere, fresh building, and real clean. The food was a generous proportion and served quickly. I would recommend giving this place a try. Extensive menu and great drink selection with a full bar. Second visit this time for lunch 12/15/24. Everything was fresh, Chef Salad very good. Boiled shrimp fres butter was a little spicy.

Most of the food was just okay. None of it is bad but nothing is to die for. Food is more so a place to go when you just don’t feel like cooking, not much a place to go when you want to eat great food. Unless you just can cook.
It is a very nice place to go for large groups in Brenham and has a large menu item. Tried the chicken fried chicken with gravy which was alright. Their fried pickles are really good. Staff is very friendly also.

Good food, friendly and prompt service, nice atmosphere, ample parking, and very clean restroom! The only slight drawback for me is the restaurant is a bit dark. More natural light or enterior lighting would be perfect!

Looking for dinner options on our day trip to Brenahm and this place had good reviews but I was skeptical since seafood is a hit or miss. Well we were seated down quickly and attended to. The place is big, with plenty of seating. The young lady took our order and was on everything fairly quickly, from the drinks, the condiments and food. Which came out surprisingly fast with big amounts of portions. The food was delicious, everything we had was so good and flavorful, none of us 4 had any complaints on any dish. We were able to share big plates and even had a ton left over. We enjoyed absolutely everything. I wish I could remember the young lady’s name, our server, because she was great!

Very disappointed. 1st chicken fried steak EVER I’ve not enjoyed. Tough meat, strange breading, & bland but salty. SMALL scoop of dry mashed potatoes. Gravy & garlic bread were good. Salad bowl wasn’t even full & just edible. Server Hong was great!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven 290 to Austin. Over 1000. I’ve never stopped here and have never wanted to. For one, it looks like a Mexican restaurant and I’m all about image when it comes to restaurants. Two, it never came up as a top restaurant on my searches. Well, this trip, my husband found it on his phone and since I was driving, I just went where he said. We were both really pleasantly surprised! It was pretty clean and well maintained, the staff was very friendly, and the fish and shrimp were delicious! Not that cheap frozen fish either! These were big light crispy battered pieces! We would definitely go back! I was even craving the fish when we drove back through after the weekend! Also a bonus that’s it’s next to a hotel for all the out of towners. Easily accessible!

Service was great. Flavor of sirloin was good on the exterior, but bland and chewy on the interior. Catfish tasted like it had no seasoning. It was rolled in cornmeal and fried. The pricing is high for the quality of the food.

It’s a beautiful restaurant. It was a very slow night. The service was poor. The stuffed salmon was excellent, but the salad that was brought to my table had old, brown, wilted, slimy lettuce. I couldn’t eat the salad, and the server did not offer a replacement. She only said she would notify the kitchen. No manager ever came to the table. I would like to try this place on a busy night. Maybe I would have a better experience.
