⭐️⭐️⭐️=Standard (1=Avoid, 3=Standard, 5=Can’t Miss!). I would actually give this location a 4 star if they were more on time with their estimates. I’ve ordered ahead a few times and each time they were late by 5-10 minutes, but one thing they’ve got going for them is that every time I’ve gone the chicken has been freshly fried so everything is PIPING hot. I’ve never had a bad wing or chicken tender here. The parking lot is a little small but I’ve always managed to find parking at off-peak hours.

I had ordered online through the website and came in the store to pick it up. They let me know in store that they never recieved the order online and advised me to contact customer support. Customer support did not help me AT ALL but the staff here at redwood city helped me so so much and offered to make my order regardless (It was a 70 dollar order of 48 wings) ! THANK YOU SO MUCH I APPRECIATE YOU ALL THANK YOU!!!! Thank you especially to the sweet girl cashier and the guy who I assume was the manager, you guys are the absolute best!!!!!

Revisiting this post as I have received a response to my vague review of my unpleasant and dissatified experience.
1) Cleaniless and space: The place seemed to have removed tables that may have been in the center of the store. It was very awkward and limited space for customers to sit and eat. We had to clean our own table since everyone seemed so busy.
2) Taste and quality: Unfortunately, our fried chicken craving was not satisfied at this Popeyes location (Woodside Road, Redwood City). The chicken was not crispy, it had a rubbery texture, it was dry, it was not spicy. It was just not good. So I tossed it all in the trash and left. There goes $30. I was more upset that I chose this place over all the other options I was considering.
3) Service was typical for fast food. Not bad. Just a bunch of young folks working and having a good time. I’ll raise it two stars for that reason.
I’ve had good experiences at other locations but I will say this location was not it that partcular evening.

Placed a medium family sized order of various foods for pickup for the first time at this location.
It was not assembled or ready when we got there at the time indicated on our online order. When we did arrive, the order was thrown together by looking at their order receipt and by asking us what we ordered by 3 different people.
When we got back to the car and checked the bag, multiple items were missing. We went back and got them.
The food itself was so amazingly old, cold, and stale. The online customized items we ordered were not what we got either. We only got the non-customized items. We ended up having to throw out half of our order because of how old, cold, and stale it was.
It was not that busy, but there were people coming in and out placing orders & buying food. Many people were working, yet it seemed so rushed and hectic despite no line or rush. Having 3 people assemble our order so rushed and hectic is why I can see how our order got so mixed up. Yet I’m not sure why not one person took the time to assemble it ahead of time or pay attention to the order details or read the order receipt they were using as reference or check to see all items were there before handing it to us.
Overall not a good experience, and won’t return to this location. We do like Popeye’s food and have ordered the same food before many times, always loving it. So I’d recommend going to a different location if you like or want to try Popeye’s.

The staff was rude. They closed both bathrooms claiming that they were out of order. Sure, where does the staff go when they need to use the bathroom? You just didn’t want to clean them, right?
They took forever to make two sandwiches and two sides. Then had an attitude when they called our number. Geez, sorry we came in to get food.

Chicken wings are low quality and much worse value than nearby Jack-In-The-Box. They just slap on the flavor and do not roll or cook it into the chicken. Very awful. I cook my chicken better than this and the adjacent Safeway does too. Low quality bad food. Sandwhich is much better than McDonalds but still only ok. Coleslaw runny. Other customers were loud, pushy, rude and awful. No bathrooms, little seating and soda is half flat. Employees were prompt, kind and polite.

I took away one star because I had one piece of hot chicken and the other three were cold . Not the biggest concern to me because I know that it was super busy. But at the same time, I would love to have been able to give them five stars.

Just enjoyed some scrumptious apple pies at Popeyes located in a high traffic area! Despite the bustling crowd, the wait was worth it. Ordered a 6-piece boneless wings combo from the kiosk around 11:30 AM on my lunch break. After waiting about 15 minutes, I asked the counter guy where my food was. He looked clueless, tossed my receipt aside, and ignored me. The employees were rude and completely incompetent. Only when I asked for a refund did they suddenly say my food was “on the way.”
Terrible service — disorganized and unprofessional. Won’t be coming back. The KFC down the street actually knows how to handle a lunch rush.
