I went on a Saturday afternoon. The place is pretty quiet. My server Andy was very helpful. The drinks and chips came out right away. He was very helpful picking something from the menu that would meet my dietary restrictions.

The food was very attractive and came out quickly. It was where the spicy as advertised and very tasty. I can see there’s a lot of negative reviews about service. I didn’t have that experience the only downside is it’s a bit pricey.

Sat there and waited half an hour for a pickup order that’s supposed to be ready when the driver arrives. And then the lady at the front had the audacity to follow me outside because I wouldn’t let her watch me confirm the order on the app. They probably need to focus more on putting out timely orders then whether or not an Uber driver is confirming the pickup. Definitely will not eat here as a customer.

What a terrible experience tonight. Yes it was new years but it was quiet- Arrived 6:45pm and was seated at a dirty table then asked to be moved, got seated in the very back of the restaurant. A server (?) came and delivered chips and salsa at 7:06. It was 7:23 when another waiter finally came over to ask if we wanted drinks. We put in our entire order. Now we were just going to buy appetizers but the waiter said kids eat free today so we switched our order from apps to meals so the kids could get larger meals. Husband ordered a long island they asked him how to make it, it wasn’t on the menu but they said they could make it- I got a margarita and a water, kids each got a soda. Drinks came out at the same time as the food almost 30 minutes later by someone else,..2 kids meals – a steak quesadilla and a cheeseburger, then street corn, a chicken quesadilla and 3 tacos. .. A different waiter walked by and we asked for hot sauce and ketchup because ours just never came- …. Started to eat but my chicken quesadilla was cold and greasy, my husbands tacos were cold.. and my son took one bite of his steak quesadilla and refused to eat it I took a bite and it was awful flavorless and also cold.
my husbands drink was disgusting and my margarita tasted like it was sugar water…. we drank our drinks regardless once we realized no one was coming over to us – now our drinks were empty and still no one came to check on us, ask how anything was, or if we needed refills… couldn’t even complain- cos no one came over so we ate what we could. When they collected our plates my husband left one taco, my son never touched the steak quesadilla after the first taste and I couldnt eat more than half my quesadilla it was so unappealing – It was about 8:15 when the second waiter came back over and started clearing plates and dropped the bill… there was no how was anything? no offer for dessert nothing… He saw the plates still with whole plates of food and asked if we needed a box and I said no thank you these were displeasing and we didn’t want them… He said nothing but took the plates away- I read the bill and we were charged for the kids meals so I had to flag him down and I inquired about the free kids meals that he suggested to us- he said sorry but the promo he told us about ended at 7pm but because they didn’t come to us or put in the order til almost 7:30 we didn’t get the promo- I said that he upsold us telling us kids meals were free and now their not and my son didn’t even eat his cos it was gross and you didn’t check on us so we’re ready to go and I’m not paying for those…he said he absolutely wouldn’t take it off the bill, so I asked for the manager…. Manger couldn’t have been bothered I told him everything and was treated like this was my problem not his.. I explained everything again and he finally agreed to comp the kids meals .. as I waited for my new bill they spoke loudly in another language and the mood shifted now suddenly were rushing me out the door…A different man came over to deliver the new bill. I read it over and gave them my card. Second Waiter comes over and says enter the gratuity here and sign. No, I’m sorry no nothing just here tip me…. He hovered over me so I hit no tip– I planned to tip in cash anyways. He stormed away as I pulled out my cash… I left a few bucks on the table because what service am I actually tipping for and walked towards the exit safe waiter came racing around a corner and said “mind getting out of my way” like how rude… Horrendous service, food and treatment. Waste of time, money and a terrible holiday meal.

The atmosphere and service were wonderful. The food tasted good going down, but I ended up with a horrible stomach ache after. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back here which is not something I say much. maybe if it was a fluke who knows?

Upfront seems a little disorganized but they are doing their best. You may want to make a reservation if you go at night on the weekend. More parking ️ available out back.
I had a coupon from the Hippo newspaper .I ordered a six piece Atilas, chicken wings, that were a little smaller than the other La Carreta in Manchester. But, blue cheese (?) was included. I ordered Pollo Rancheros but was given Enchiladas Super Ranchero instead. It tasted good but it wasn’t what I ordered. I didn’t complain and I didn’t want to waste the food.
I had Sopapillas for dessert. I was offered a refill on my unsweetened ice tea.
Good service. You may want your server to repeat back your order to you. I recommend a visit.
Update: Saturday afternoon, February 2021: I went for lunch and I was disappointed that the lunch specials are not available on weekends.
I had a coupon from Hippo Press and I ordered the six piece Alitas and received seven, the Cazuelon, steak and chicken with refried beans, Mexican rice and your choice, which I didn’t get to choose, of either corn or flour tortillas. I had flan for dessert. Food was good!
I had four people check on me.
Update: February 2024; Great service! I had the Lunch Special #5 and it was good!

Its ok. Its not earth shattering but not bad either. The fajitas are good though today when I went they did lack flavor. The espinaca dip is really good though! Ive had the chori Pollo before to and that is good. Overall its good, not great.

I asked the waitress for the bill cause it’s was two of my family members birthdays. The waitress remembered AND got the staff to sing happy birthday which I was not expecting. Not to mention the food is ALWAYS amazing and Thursdays was margarita night ❤️

I use to hate this place so much out of all the places to eat mexican, this was always my last. Landed here last night not by choice but out server Dillon R was AMAZING! Excellent service, best I’ve experienced in quite sometime who ever owns this place keep this guy happy he seems like he cares about your business.

Stopped in after Church today and was surprised with the changes. They painted the outside and wait staff were wearing new uniforms. The food was fresh and delicious, so was the company. Thank you Anderson for making us feel right at home!
