If you like pork, pulled or ribs, and meat in general, it will be hard to get it wrong here. Not anything out of the ordinary, but a decent place to eat if you like those. Baked beans were OK. Avoid the close slaw, and, perhaps, the baked sweet potato. Service was good, waitress was efficient, and pleasant. Good parking availability. In summary, not a bad experience.

Used to be a regular customer at Sonny’s mostly for their Baby Back Ribs.
I’ve tried it twice after they changed ownership…. and there will not be a third time! Our Sunday lunch yesterday was a disappointment. The quality of the baby back ribs is not as it used to be. There was not much meat, they were over cooked. Why we ate them?… because we were too hungry to wait. The prices are higher, the portions are less… and at $15.59 a plate, there are better options nearby.

As most would know it’s easier to receive a negative review or comment than it is for positive especially if not requested.
This evening I chose to write this review and give top Stars not just because of food is good and the customer service is sweet. But because the server took the time to write us a letter of kindness and wishing us the best of the holiday season. I also want to use this time to say thank you to server Kim for that message because I truly needed needed the reminder. You may never know how such a small gesture as a note and a smile can help someone in their toughest times.

Sonnys has always been a go-to place for a satisfying meal. It’s not pretentious, the food is great and the prices are reasonable (although they seem to keep creeping up). I’m not sure what they have done recently, but they have upped their game with their burgers. They’re satisfying, juicy and delicious with some of the Sonny’s sauce instead of ketchup or mustard.

Every so often I’d get a few dry ones, but on the most they’re tender and on point. I also enjoy Sonnys Red Pale Ale which was actually 2-for-1 (not sure for how long), even better!
Pro tip: Your future reorders can be subbed with Pulled Pork, Sliced Pork, or Chicken if you so desire (since the Ribs are the higher cost). Change of pace I say!
