The smaller appetite fried shrimp and fries is great. The shrimp were perfectly fried. My only complaint would be that the cajun fries were not spicy at all. My husband had the crawfish etouffe with two sides . He selected squash casserole which had andouille sausage in it and fried okra. Our total bill was $27. Service was very fast and friendly.

This was my first time eating here. My husband ate here all the time in college. I was kind of nervous about eating Gator bites, but they were so good! I’m definitely going to get more of those next time we go back. The Cajun fries were amazing! I got the shrimp po-boy and that was good too. Everybody loved their food. Would definitely recommend! It’s definitely a hole in the wall type of place and like most hole in the wall type of places the food is amazing!

Really enjoyed checking you out. Met someone who’s friends of the owner and when he told us he was from Eunice, I knew it would be good, and it was. Enjoyed the crawfish etoufee and cajun corn. Hubby got the shrimp poboy but us Louisiana folks miss the poboys with so much shrimp it falls everywhere and hoped you had it as well. We’d definitely come back.

We only stopped by for a quick lunch, but it was a great decision. The fried oysters taste of the sea and the fried gator is also perfectly juicy. This is a fun place with great food! The staff were very helpful.

First time here. I had an incredible experience. The restaurant looks a little wild from the outside, but once you’re in, the atmosphere is exactly like you’d expect legitimate long-time French Quarter style restaurant to be. They have three sections. When you walk in, you’re in the date night/family friendly area. Past that through the A/C barrier doors is the outside bar area with music and smoking area. The third I’d describe as a private party area suitable for ~50 people. It has media capabilities but I’d probably bring my own projector and speakers. Full A/C and private restrooms in this area. Very cool restaurant that I highly recommend and will return to very soon.

Great place on a Friday night! Live music, food, and drinks. We tried the jambalaya, etofee, gumbo, green beans, Gator bits, Cajun fries, bread pudding. The gumbo and bread pudding are the best I’ve had!

Walking into this place we were apprehensive, even came very close to leaving before we sat down. I’m glad we stayed, the jambalaya was fantastic, the voo doo shrimp was great and the bread pudding I could eat every day. The owner seems to be a very nice guy, he even sent us out with a very large piece of king cake that was also great. I’ll definitely eat here again.

I’ve been meaning to try this place out for a while. Outside doesn’t look like much and the inside gives an old fashioned, rustic vibe. Ordered Tim’s Famous Hot Wings and a bowl of their Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. The jambalaya was a Cajun style jambalaya as it wasn’t tomato based so it had the lighter color than the Creole style reddish tomato based jambalaya. It came out nice and hot. I’m a firm believer of salting during the cooking process, but the dish was borderline threshold of being too salty. The flavor was there though and was on par with what you would find in New Orleans. Just be sure to taste your food before adding additional salt. The hot wings are smoked and then flash fried to give it a bit of crispiness. They came out steaming hot. They overcooked the fry process a little too much as the wings were a little dry. The flavor however was enough to overlook the overcooked chicken. Great smoky flavor and seasoned very well. The heat level of the spiciness was not really very hot and was pretty much Louisiana hot sauce levels, but the chicken was delicious nonetheless. Additional points go to the excellent service from the staff, who were attentive and personable. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice, chill, restaurant with Southern hospitality. Fantastic service and friendly folks.
Heard good things about the squash casserole but it’s only available during lunch. Did the pick 2 combo with the chicken and sausage gumbo and boudin, both had good flavor and consistency. Fried okra with a peppy dip was delicious. The dinner roll was light, buttery, had a lightly seasoned crust. I could probably eat a dozen of those by themselves.
The bread pudding did not hit it for me. The raisins were good and the rum sauce was excellent but the center was too dense and the outer layer too chewy.
Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will probably come back again to try some of the other items.

The server was extremely nice, unfortunately the food was all bland or tasted like it had just been frozen beforehand. We ordered the trio sampler for the appetizer and got boudin, jalapeno poppers, and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were cold and not fried long enough, the jalapeno poppers were good but clearly pre-made frozen then fried, and the boudin was good when you squeezed it out of the sausage casing. We then ordered the crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, red beans and rice, gator bites with sides of Cajun fries, deviled eggs, fried ocra, turnip greens, and they came with a biscuit as well. Everything was extremely bland and most of the sides tasted like they were pre-made frozen beforehand. I don’t know for a fact that they were frozen but that’s what it tasted like. In the end we did not finish our food and we’re pretty disappointed.
