My mom and I have had lunch at Dempsey’s many times and it’s always top notch. We usually get their delicious seafood. On this occasion, the daily specials were not regular menu items. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and my mom had the Chicken Parmesan. Our entrees came with angel hair pasta, the best side salads that you’ll get from any restaurant, and toasted garlic bread. We waited as they cooked these meals to order, and then served them fresh and hot from the kitchen. The experience could rival any fancy Italian restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection and beyond delicious. I highly recommend making a visit to Dempsey’s to try these specials. I must also mention that the service we received was wonderful!

Dempsey’s Rules!! When I was living in Mississippi this was our go to place!! That Broil 3-way dish was my favorite!! That Crab Au Gratin sauce on top of it all is amazing!! Some of the absolute best Oyster Rockefellers I’d ever had!! Great Boiled Seafood, those onion rings, the fried pickles and that banging mac & Cheese!! Great joint!! Do yourself a favor and make the hike out to “The Kill” aka Kiln and 603 and come hungry!!

Had a reservation for 7:45 on Valentine’s day night. Checked in for our reservation time, waited 30 minutes for a table not even inside! My boyfriend and I were brought to a shed with larger parties! We can’t even have a conversation without having to yell at my boyfriend. We were going to share a table with another couple who didn’t look too amused either! Save this space for much larger parties and let the smaller parties enjoy actually being in the restaurant! Do better

After a weeks worth of seafood restaurants in the Bay St. Louis-New Orleans area, we ended up here on the last night of our first gulf coast visit. It was a fitting end to a successful tour of the local eateries. This was the largest establishment we ate in all week as we prefer hole-in-the-walls to larger, touristy franchise-type restaurants. Although large, it was by no means cold or lacking in personality. It was obviously popular with locals and everyone seemed to be a regular. Our server, Joy, went out of her way to take care of us and make us feel at home. She answered all our newby questions and kept bringing us samples to help us decide what to order. We settled on a crab cake platter and a Half and Half platter of oysters and crawfish. With the included salads, there was more than enough to feed us on the way north the next day. Although we were stuffed, we couldn’t resist the homemade desserts before staggering out to the car. We were glad to add another tasty memory to our gulf coast adventure.

Put our name in the front desk for table of 4. Was asked to give my name and phone number they would text me when our table was ready. I didn’t like giving out my phone number. They should get pagers like other restaurants. When they text to let me know our table was ready all of our party did not go in together 2 people were walking from the parking lot because they had just arrived. I was told I would have to wait for the next available because we didn’t all come in at the same time. They would not wait for the other 2 to walk across the parking lot. We were told to go back outside and wait. We arrived at Demsey’s around 5:25 we finally got seated at 7:45. The steaks were really thin and a lot of fat on them. The salad had brown lettuce and tasted old. The crab and shrimp cake tasted like pureed fish and had 2 small baby shrimp in the mix, the breading on the out side was so hot with spices you couldn’t eat it. This was served on a plain stale piece of white bread with 2 hush small puppies. Looked and tasted a lot like store bought. The price they are charging people it should be top notch. We will never be back. The customer service is terrible. The place is loud and over crowed and you have to wait outside.

I was in town for a wedding and ate here two days in a row because the first day was such a great experience! The second visit was just as nice. Rob and Joe are the definition of southern hospitality. I didn’t get the names of the other folks working, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. I had the Ahi Tuna and the Boudin burger. They were both delicious!
