Neighborhood bar/eatery offering pizza along with Italian sandwiches & dishes, plus outdoor seating.

Very cool little pizza joint. It’s just off the beaten path but worthwhile. Not a crap chain place. Actual fresh made dough and soups. Highly recommend the tomatoe basil soup and their starter app which is garlic toast with balsamic vinaigrette and oil /spices. Very good overall. Excellent service. I mean over the top excellent service.

Start with the location is nice, not a part of the main drag, and that has to the quietness of it. And it fell like an authentic Italian restaurant, it smells great. Our waitress was fantastic. She was always there when we needed her and trying to always do above and beyond to ensure that we had a great evening. The food was okay but only average to be, it did not have a signature flavor that I will always remember.

An amazing, tucked away little Italian restaurant that delivers in spades!
The staff is very friendly, the kitchen area is clean, and the vibes at Trattoria are off the charts. Plenty of seating is available, and there is a bar for those that prefer that.
They make their own sauce and dough in-house, and you can taste the difference. We had three different pizzas. They were each outstanding and served fresh out of the oven.
This is such a welcome change from the chains that have taken over. I’ll definitely be back!

I made a togo order for 2 medium pizzas. Both had a lick of tomato sauce. Keep in mind we spent $50 for 2 medium pizzas. For that price at least have a good pizza. Now we eat ramen noodles in replace of. Truly crazy to serve food out that is considered more of a quesadilla than a pizza.

Husband and I have been staying in Lower Alabama off and on for the last several months and have been craving some good pizza. Trattoria was recommended so we figured we’d give it a try. Unfortunately, our cravings went unsatisfied.
I was encouraged to see that they make their own dough and sauces. I ordered a large, extra crispy pie with sausage, onions, green peppers and mushrooms.
I was standing in the restaurant when the pizza was taken out of the oven. The crust was not only not extra crispy, it was limp which allowed the toppings to slide off. (Strike 1)
They didn’t slide off because of there being too much sauce, because there was barely any on the entire pie. It was only 15 minutes between coming out of the oven and me dishing it out onto a plate. (Strike 2)
There were fresh vegetables on the pie which is a huge plus. However, they were the only crispy thing about this pizza. (Strike 3).
Considering how much money I spent on the pizza, and the three strikes, I doubt we will waste our money again at Trattoria.

Marinara has some good garlic and spice. Pizza and bit limp but we had the option to order it crispy or extra crispy which we didn’t see until later. Meatballs with the spaghetti and meatballs were tasty but cold. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Only thing wrong with the atmosphere were the annoying flies

Enjoyed my visit while in the area on business. Comfortable place that felt like my favorite place back home. Shout out to Nina in particular. She was pleasant, stayed on top of drinks, and recommended a fantastic pizza. I had the works, and it had a delightful crunch with a plethora of toppings. I would try the place again if I’m in the area.

Just drove 20 minutes to try this place for the first time, upon recommendation from some friends. Google says they are open till 10. But they were all closed up and mopping at 8:30 on a Saturday night. My husband went to the door just to make sure, and not one employee still in the building even looked to acknowledge him. 8:30 on a Saturday night is not an unreasonable time to go to a restaurant. If they aren’t going to be open, they should change their hours on Google to reflect they can close when they feel like it. And some kind of acknowledgement from the employees would be nice, as again, 8:30 is a reasonable time to eat, especially on a Saturday night.
Not sure when I’ll drive the 20 minutes to try this place again.

I had the baked ziti with meatballs, a side salad, and their world-famous dough ballz with marinara. The food was fantastic—fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The service was great, and the food came out quickly. This small pizza spot is a hidden gem, welcoming and cozy with a solid menu selection. I’ve been here once before for the lasagna, which was also fantastic. If you’re looking for something better than the usual chain pizza or Italian places, this is it. Great flavor, great variety, and the pizza is pretty good too!

I’ve found the pizza here to be a bit inconsistent in flavor in the past, but this time it was excellent! Everything from the crust to the toppings was great. I really hope they keep this level of quality going forward, it made a big difference.
