If I could give a zero I would! We walked in this place and it was absolutely dirty! Trash all over the floor. The food was horrible and greasy! I ordered oysters and flounder. I’ve never seen flounder that was about an 1/8 of an inch thick. We spent 60 dollars on food that I couldn’t eat. I would advise anyone to go anywhere else but here!

I have been to Tides Inn plenty of times and it just does not seem to have the same quality and service as it once did. I understand a lot of businesses have not recovered or gone back to their pre-Covid days; however, Tides Inn has remained a great place to visit. Until today. The amount of food given, for the cost of the food, seemed low when it used to be so much food you would need to put some on another plate. OAN: we did wait a long time for our food and by the time we received our food we basically were no longer hungry. It wasn’t the same. Maybe today was just an off day. Tides Inn has good people and friendly staff so it is no complaint on them. Just hoping today was an off day.

There was no care in flavor, plating, or execution, showing a lack of passion and quality control. The only acceptable item was the baked potato and even that was better left untouched by anything from the kitchen. Given how hard people are struggling financially, it’s upsetting that a restaurant delivering such low-quality food is still operating. This placing always have great food. The service is always exceptional. Our favorite waitress left however still a great experience. Recent changes made the experience of little different, a little less food, less personal touches.

Delivering 280 chairs tends to lead to hunger! We was on bidness in High point. I asked a warehouse worker where the good seafood was. He said, “Tides Inn.” Boy oh boy he was right!
The atmosphere was great. We were greeted by a friendly young lady. The waitress was very attentive! The owner came to the table and talked to us,very nice guy! The food was very yummy! I had broiled shrimp,broiled flounder and broiled scallops,loaded potato,hush puppies, and oyster soup and a Arnold Palmer. This place is worth a ride from Winston Salem. I highly recommend this place!

Called in an order and was told cash only! I told the lady on the phone I had to check to see if I had cash but, I have to pull over. I said I would call back if I don’t. Went to get food and a person was using a credit card but I was told I needed cash.
Someone walked in after me and placed an order and then their order came before mine.We both looked at each others because the other customer knew I had called mine in. I asked the waitress where my food was and she said with such a stank attitude and rolled eyes “ you said you would call back”. I said IF I didn’t have cash! Again with her STANK ATTITUDE she said well it will take a few minutes. I just left!
What is up with them saying you have to pay with cash to some people but with others you can pay with a card? Makes you wonder if it’s a way to discriminate or was she going to pocket my money!
