We wanted the Mad Duck to be a pub. An American pub with great food, great beer and great cocktails. We believed that it takes just as much work to make great food as it does to make bad food. The difference is the pride you take in your work. It was a simple idea; but is something we believe in. It was the constant that pushed us. It is still that simple principle that drives us- take pride and be happy in all that you do! This place we are happiest. A place for our families and friends; a place for your families and friends. A place to gather and enjoy: food, beer and most importantly, each other.

Tried their seasonal Benedict and I enjoyed it. We always come here for the crispy chicken salad and deviled eggs! Baja Fish or Shrimp tacos is a must try here. Good environment and fast service, no complaints!

I ordered a wellness cocktail during happy hour for $5. I asked what drinks are included in a “wellness cocktail” waitress said she could do crown and diet coke as wellness cocktail. I was charged $9 and when I asked about the charge, the waitress said it was her mistake but there’s nothing she can do about it after checking with her manager. My crispy chicken was over cooked, dry, fried with fish fry and the salad was unseasoned. No salt and pepper shakers at the table. Table wobbled so much our drinks spilled. $28 for this want worth it. I will not be returning

This. Place. Was. Phenomenal!!. Been trying to get here. Decided to come with a party of 11. Made reservations, had a pleasant experience with Taylor P. She was on top of everything. Drinks, ordering, and checking in on us. We had 3 checks among our table and there was no issue there. The food was delicious and amazing. From burgers to steak bites and tots and fries. D E L I C I O U S!! Thank you Mad Duck Brewing for hosting our yearly Fresno State Football game dinner before game time!!

the food was good, I got a french dip sandwich with goat cheese added. the fries was really good too.
I also got a drink from there which was the alcoholic elderberry one, I really enjoyed that a lot and I wish I got more drinks haha. this place is type of place I would go back for, the reason why i’m giving 4 stars is because the menu was kinda hard to decide but I understand why. it might be kinda hard for picky eaters to choose except for the chicken tender and fries they have on the menu.

The food was delicious!!! My wife loved her Salmon and my Triple by pass was AWESOME!!! I do wish the hoagie roll was a bit stronger but I just turned it into a sandwich lol. We were there the night of the concert so service was a touch slow but they were still good. We will totally be coming back on a normal night.

We tried the new Korean Pork Bowl at Mad Duck and had a really disappointing experience. The rice was served cold and extremely crunchy—not just once, but even after they remade it. We ended up only eating the pork.
When I asked the manager about it, instead of addressing the issue, she told me the rice is “supposed to be cold” and that I shouldn’t order it again. The problem wasn’t temperature—it was that the rice was not cooked properly and inedible. The server did her best, but the manager was dismissive and rude.
Sadly, between the poorly prepared food and unprofessional response, I can’t recommend Mad Duck, especially for work lunches or group outings.

After posting my original review, I was contacted by Kyle from Mad Duck’s leadership team. He personally took the time to look into what happened, spoke with the kitchen and management staff, and sent me a very thoughtful and thorough response. He acknowledged both the food and service issues, explained the steps they’re taking to correct them across all stores, and addressed how the situation with management was handled.
What stood out most to me was the accountability, instead of excuses, he offered a sincere apology and shared clear actions being taken to ensure this doesn’t happen again. That level of care and professionalism goes a long way and makes me feel confident about giving Mad Duck another try.
Mistakes happen, but the way they are handled says everything about a business. I really appreciate the way Kyle and his team addressed this, and I look forward to a better experience next time.

Ive been to Mad Duck about 4 times now, the service is always awesome. The last time i went to the one by fresno state, the Bar atmosphere was pretty darn cool. Great service, good food, i like that the menu is small and you dont get confused. Had the fish and chips, the fries were sooo good , the fish flavor was really good i just wish it was fried a few minutes more to make it crunchy. Also got bbq wings, always good. The beer is so cool since it is Brewed there. I had the “Hopical Paradise” sooo delicious, its more light and has a interesting flavor to it. I tried the “almond brown ale” i was not a fan, it was just darker beer and strong flavor. Im not a beer drinker so perhaps thats why. Definitely will go back.

Great craft beer joint with a great atmosphere and outside patio. Had the Mohazeic IPA, hazy New England style, awesome beer. The deviled egg appetizer was really good which had smoked crispy bacon, green onions and Sriracha. I had the Blackened Salmon served with roasted bell pepper coulis, baby greens & tabouli, a blend of couscous, green onion, cucumber, cauliflower, tomato, parsley & lemon. Really good, highly recommend. 4.5 rating for me.
