JUST OK…the food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good enough to propel me to return. The egg drop had zero flavor. We had to pour on the salt to get it to taste like something. This Mongolian restaurant adds the rice while they are doing the cooking. I’ve always had the rice brought out to me in a separate bowl in a much larger quantity at other Mongolian restaurants. I appreciated that they had a seasoning recipe posted for ease in flavoring BUT I don’t think they had enough seasoning choices in my experience. I just couldn’t get enough flavor for it to bring me back here. Price was fair…about $16 pp. The atmosphere was also not the best. It felt like a bargain “basement” large room. The waitress was very good and attentive!

I am 38 and have been going here since I was a child. Mom found it in the early 90’s and even when I don’t go back to visit, years later they remember me. The food is delicious and the staff friendly. This place is a hidden gem. If you are looking for some flashy place this is not it. I have severe social anxiety, and this place is one of the few sit in dining restaurants that I can go to. The environment is quiet and comfortable. Perfect for a date or to take friends and family. I see people reviewing it saying all kinds of either out right lies or twisting the truth to give them a bad review and that makes me angry. They treat you like you are the family that you like and always as you walk out say “See you tomorrow” making sure you know that you are welcome back. Go and enjoy the place but do not go expecting one of those giant chains. I hope they never close and Everytime I am in the area I will stop by for dinner.

Don’t look like a rookie and fill up one bowl. Everyone used two. Lots of choices for a delicious helping of just what you expected. Took a little longer than expected but it was piping hot and hit the spot.

Ton’s is a one of a kind Mongolian grill restaurant experience. The food is delicious. The line where you pick your ingredients is well kept, usually quite clean, and the people who prepare your dish are courteous and very good at what they do. The look and feel of Ton’s can be a little rough around the edges… so if you want to go somewhere fancy this might not be your pick, but if you want a really good plate of food I suggest it highly!

The original Ton’s, it’s been here for years & I believe has been run by the same people with several long term staff members. The staff has always been kind from the minute you walk in the door whether they are wait staff or cooks, always courteous.
It can get busy here but they are efficient! If you’ve never had Mongolian grill you basically put all your food in a bowl (here you use two) – proteins, veggies, noodles, sauce, & cook it all together on a large grill at the end. You can ask them to make you fried rice at the grill too, just eggs & soy sauce or to use it as the base of your meal if you don’t want noodles. If you want an egg, ask when they take your bowls to start grilling your food. Hot & sour or egg drop soup are available if you’d like & you can order some white rice with your meal if preferred. Ice cream is available for a sweet treat at the end. All these things are included in your meal.
Sometimes the area where you get all your ingredients can be messy. It’s hard to control the mess people make, especially with the sauces but we came at a slow time where no one had been in front of us & oil was all across the counter. Sometimes the floor can get greasy too in the same area. Like I said, it’s been around for awhile, it’s a little run down but the quality of food is still good. It’s truly a staple in Grand Prairie, don’t miss out!

I like Ton’s Mongolian Grill!! I love how it’s a buffet. And the ice cream is so good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Be aware that when you give them your food they will mix everything up; so tell them to keep the stuff you want separate to be separated.

I can’t give this place enough praise. Been a staple piece in the community for so long, and for good reason. It’s always clean, fresh, and delicious. I’d eat here every day if I could.

Always enjoy coming here; staff is amazing and always quick to help. I always enjoy putting together my bowls and watching the meal come together as it’s cooked before my eyes. Great place overall, side note: LOVE the ice cream!

Me and my hubby love Ton’s! It’s a buffet style but with one plate, you’ll be satisfied! The cooks are always on it and the waiters are very sweet. And don’t forget, the ice cream is free! I highly recommend.

This place is the absolute BOMB! Atmosphere is a bit lacking, and dated, but what it lacks in that it makes up for it with DELICIOUS food! We have been LONG TIME customers of this place and frequented the Mansfield and Arlington locations before they changed ownership and eventually closed. Thank goodness this location is still here! It puts Ghengis Grill to shame with the value and taste. Plus it is all you can eat when dining in. I will admit though that I am a LITTLE disappointed they went to WAY SMALLER take out cartons so that they can up-charge customers for what they call “overfilling”. That practice I think is sketchy because take out and dine in are priced the same… but you are being limited and charged more for “overfilling” a SMALLER take out box when you commonly see people getting TWO massive plates of THREE bowls when dining in. So, if you dine in, you are good, just watch your bowl fillings if you take out. Other than that, the ONLY other complaint is the BATHROOMS are in need of SERIOUS rehab. Just hold it if you can.
