The chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Each bite was complemented by fresh, vibrant ingredients, creating a perfect balance of textures and tastes. The seasoning had just the right amount of kick, making every mouthful exciting without being overwhelming.
What I loved most was how fresh and thoughtfully prepared everything felt. From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell that care had gone into crafting the bowl. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience, satisfying both my hunger and my craving for something flavorful and comforting.
Overall, Chilango is a spot I’d gladly return to. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a flavorful dinner, their bowls hit the mark. My chicken bowl was a simple meal elevated by quality ingredients and attention to detail.
I ordered the steak torta and honestly, I’ve never had one made like this before. It had roasted veggies, chipotle butter, and came on perfectly toasted telera bread. Every bite was packed with flavor and it was easily the best savory item I got. I could seriously see myself coming back just for that sandwich alone.
The tortilla soup, though, didn’t really do much for me. I took a couple sips and kind of forgot about it after that. Now I’m wondering if it’s meant for dipping the torta because on its own it was pretty blah. If that’s the case, a little note on the side might be helpful.
Now let’s talk about the Nutella and banana empanada because that thing deserves its own shoutout. It was loaded with bananas and Nutella, fried perfectly with a crispy outside and warm, melty inside. Every bite was pure happiness. I truly wish I had ordered five of them. No joke. Next time the munchies hit, this is absolutely my go-to spot for something sweet. Honestly, I can’t recommend it enough.
It is a small place but good enough for a quick bite that you will enjoy!
Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of my empanadas, I realized after I have eaten them.
The food is consistently good and fresh! Empanadas fresh, right out of the fryer. Their street corn is also yum (in the cup and on the cob)! They’ve got fresh juices and horchata as well.
