The Original Good Company
Prima Pasta really delivers when it comes to food — everything we tried was 10/10 delicious and truly authentic. The live band and all the greenery throughout the restaurant added such a warm, homey touch to the evening. If you love Alfredo, you can’t go wrong here… highly recommend it! We finished with the tiramisu, which tasted like it came straight from Granny’s kitchen — absolutely perfect.

There were a few hiccups, though. Our server poured our wine without offering a taste first, and some of the dishes felt a bit delayed coming out of the kitchen. The mussels were also overcooked, which was disappointing.

Still, the overall experience was lovely, and the quality of the food definitely makes up for the minor service issues. Would absolutely return for the pasta, the ambience, and that tiramisu!

I decided to visit this restaurant for the first time for my birthday, let me tell you this place is phenomenal. Everything about this place screamed authentic! You are greeted by friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Prima Peperone, and it was very flavorful. The dish brings delight to my taste buds! I was also complimented with a cheesecake for my birthday. The cheesecake is 10x better than any other I tell you. 10/10!!!

Do not know how this is so highly rated maybe the people that frequent here have never had good Italian food. Pictured is a margherita pizza and the burrata bread. First of all, as you can see, the burrata bread was very disappointing. Bread was kind of dry and not fluffy at all. It’s giving bread I can buy from a local store. HEB has better bread. Secons, pizza was a FLOP. Not wood fired. Crust is paper thin but burnt an has not type of flavor. It tasted like cardboard. It doesn’t help that it has a thick layer of cheese. Only had 3 small slices because it was literally just cheese. If I could compare it to anything it was like buying those pre made pizza breads and slapping lunchables tomato sauce and a whole cup of Mozzarella. Maybe stick to their pasta or other dishes.

Service was also so slow. It took about 40 minutes to get our order ready and also it was 5 pm… to be frank though, the restaurant was pretty full.

Parking is quite tight but there’s parking available at the bank next door.

FEB. 23, 2026 – Piccola Pasta salad with added calamari, DELICIOUS! I had the Prima Pasta with added shrimp, with angel hair pasta. Out of this world delicious.

July 2025 – I had Roger’s special, huge meal, shrimp, chicken, scallops mushrooms, etc. over angel hair pasta. Enough for the wife and me to split. She had a fantastic salad and free bread too.

August 22,2025 – Waitress was Marzie, and she did a great job!
I had Roger’s special again!!!! Current wife had eggplant parmeson.

I was in town at the MD. Anderson medical center and was recommended from a google search.. I was blown away the chicken pannini was fire, had pasta and salad excellent. While I waited had an excellent ginger tea. I ordered take out and my dessert was forgotten. I called and they made it right 100%. I would recommend this place to anyone. When I returned to New Mexico I found myself wishing I could have food from this place agian.. I will be back, my family ordered from there agian after I left. Wish I would have taken pictures of my food.. just hope my words paint the best picture..

We really wanted to like this restaurant based on prior reviews. Took my mom and my sister there for her birthday dinner last night. We ordered appetizers of the compressive salad and calamari they came out and I was most disappointed with what they served us. the tomatoes were literally almost white/green hardly any cheese on the plate to go with each slice of tomato. And the calamari tasted like it was some sort of frozen dish Rather than fresh. It was the worst calamari I’ve had as well as the Caprese salad. My partner had the spaghetti and meatballs on gluten-free pasta and stated that the meatballs were horrible. The other entrées ordered were also pasta dishes that were good. The atmosphere was great and included harp music. The food though was most disappointing. On a final note, we also ordered desserts. One was the Italian cream cake. The other, some sort of chocolate mousse pie. Both were not very good. They were refrigerated and hard, not fresh and ready to eat. Very disappointing birthday evening.

I had delivered here a few times and actually saw live music on a person-sized harp while the performer sang, it was enchanting! It always smelled wonderful and felt like a tucked-away secret. Every order I picked up, the servers and/or the owner were so warm and polite (I love to chat). One day, my partner and I left a restaurant because it smelled so heavily of smoke and went to the nearest Italian place, their sign is so incongruent to the interior asthetic, I had no idea until we went in! ⭐ I was thrilled! They offered to sit us in front of their gorgeous Christmas tree, and we happily accepted. I don’t think they realized it was me, but I told them all about it and asked about their charming outdoor ‘sitting area’ (one small table with two small seats. They told me it was new, and they had staged it for a customer’s engagement photos, but planned to build on it over time. Can’t wait to stop by again and check on the progress!

The chicken Marsala was very very sweet, I didnt want to eat it after I tried some. I also did not like the tiramisu it was just a block of frozen cheese with too little coffee flavor and the garlic bread was just ok. I feel betrayed by grubhub reviews.
